First female Marine earns recon military occupational specialty

The first female Marine has passed the Basic Reconnaissance Course and earned the 0321 reconnaissance Marine military occupational specialty, or MOS, the Marine Corps has confirmed.

Lance Cpl. Alexa Barth graduated from the grueling 12-week course Nov. 7, 1st Lt. Sam Stephenson, Marine Corps spokesman, confirmed to Marine Corps Times Thursday.

Barth still has a few more training schools to go through before joining her unit at 1st Recon Battalion at Camp Pendleton, California, said Maj. Kendra Motz, spokeswoman for 1st Marine Division. Barth is expected to arrive at her unit late spring 2020.

No,the USMC,under orders from their Navy bosses,GAVE it to her.

There is just no way in hell a woman can meet the same physical requirements as a man. Especially not against a select group of men like the guys in Force Recon.

It just can't be done. Most male Marines can't meet those standards. Seriously. She might,and probably is,be as smart as the typical Force Recon Marine (which is nothing to sneeze at),but she will NEVER be their physical equal.

I am making one more prediction,she will never be a member of an active team,but will get training assignments. If she IS ever given a spot on a recon team,it will be a handpicked spot on a  handpicked mission,and even then it is likely male Marines will die because of her.
