   That's one of my favorites by him @sneakypete and East Houston Blues.  I just discovered his talent about 7 years ago.  I didn't even know he was married to Roseanne Cash till I heard that song.

@BassWrangler

They were "knocking boots" at the time. I SUSPECT he wrote this song because of her influence on him at that time.

BTW,there is a you boob video of the two of them recording the song,and you can almost smell the smoke in the air when they look at each other.

BTW,this HAS to be the only Kid Rock song I have heard more of than maybe 15 seconds. Just ain't into rap.

Not into rap either. I can tolerate it, but I don't seek it out. I do like that British rapper, Zuby, though - not his music, but his level headed take on politics.

??? Kid Rock doesn't do mostly rap. Quite the opposite.  He does a lot of ballads and some with some spiritual undertones.  He sings with a lot of different people including Elton John.  He sings mostly rock and country. I'm not into Rap either.

No, they were just lazy.  It was a nightmare trying to get them to generate an album.  They spent more time in court than they spend in a studio.

I did a little reading about them this afternoon - you're right that it was bickering amongst the band that caused issues. Apparently, there was one guy, an MIT grad in fact, who was the primary song writer. No doubt he was talented, but he didn't get along well with the lead singer, and (as you mentioned) was a pain to work with.

Edit: I just listened to the song. Beautiful. I’ve heard it said by many wise people that the most people falls in love three times in their lifetime. The first is usually as a teenager, and the last is the one that will be until death parts.

I’m blessed to have the love of my life for 13 years until death parted us. I hope and pray we will be reunited in heaven
