How about bagpipes? I don't know the year of this but I think Abba influenced greatly some of the groups from back then. I think this sounds a bit like Abba to me,  except for the bagpipes of course....

I am almost embarrassed to admit it,but this is one of my favorite "Feel good" go-to songs. If you can listen to this and not smile and sing and dance along, you are dead.

While looking for it,I spotted Etta James. The rest of the day is now shot.

@sneakypete

Did you ever see the movie "One Trick Pony"?
It is about Paul Simon vs. the music industry.
It's pretty good.
That is where I first heard this song.

If you're a fan of 60s/70s music, there's a channel on YouTube called the "Music Enhancement Channel." The manager of that channel, Kenn Wingle, basically takes old music tracks and re-produces them, cleaning them up, adding instruments, adjusting the stereo sound, and so on. The end result is very pleasant to the ears, especially on headphones.

I often listen to classical using the free streaming internet radio on iTunes (I'm a Mac user, but I believe there's still a version of iTunes for Windows users as well).

I recently found a station in the classical area that plays instrumental music from movie soundtracks, much of which is in a classical vein.

It can be accessed via a web browser as well, or on Android or iOS:
https://www.cinemix.us/#

Then click:

But something wrong with his approach in this case at least, is leaving out one of TYA's best songs, of course, that one "I'm Going Home"... Woodstock version is better but, it's interesting to see the song in an earlier version. Recording isn't great in my view either.  Subsequent versions might be beter, it's a good song.

I'm not sure if there stuff is that strong as a whole but some decent ones interspersed in their whole works.

While if it's Rory Gallagher or someone like that, I can take after it pretty easy.  Little comparison to Rory but to me, most people don't, different music, different strikes. I got the "Blue Print" album when CDs were starting to be phased out. I still have barely heard it all.

It's all okay, to me, not his strongest.

I had Tattoo'd Lady, not sure if I like it as much now either.

I've watched lots of his videos but not this one.  He's very knowledgeable on bands.

I'm not familiar with much 10 Years After but I've liked a lot that I have heard.
I listened to "I'm Going Home," and enjoyed it.
I'd be happy to hear it again, but I don't feel compelled to play it repeatedly for a half hour like some songs.
I'd definitely like to hear Tattoo'd Lady again and added it to my likes.  Thanx @TomSea

Doctor My Eyes - Jackson Browne

www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKGTaplzmV4

Doctor, my eyes have seen the years
And the slow parade of fears without crying
Now I want to understand
I have done all that I could
To see the evil and the good without hiding
You must help me if you can

Doctor, my eyes
Tell me what is wrong
Was I unwise to leave them open for so long

'Cause I have wandered through this world
And as each moment has unfurled
I've been waiting to awaken from these dreams
People go just where they will
I never noticed them until I got this feeling
That it's later than it seems

Doctor, my eyes
Tell me what you see
I hear their cries
Just say if it's too late for me

Doctor, my eyes
Cannot see the sky
Is this the prize
For having learned how not to cry

Here's something to mellow you out.
And here is something to draw you back into the darkness.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1N84wemDNk
David Gilmour - Murder

Some of them standing, some were waiting in the line
As if there was something that they thought they might find
Taking some strength from the feelings that always were shared
And in the background, the eyes that just stared

What was it brought you out here in the dark?
Was it your only way of making your mark
Did you get rid of all the voices in your head?
Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

On your own admission you raised up the knife
And you brought it down ending another man's life
When it was done you just threw down the blade
While the red blood spread wider like the anger you made

I don't want this anger that's burning in me
It's something from which it's so hard to be free
But none of the tears that we cry in sorrow or rage
Can make any difference, or turn back the page

Joe Walsh - The Confessor

If you look at your reflection in the bottom of the well
What you see is only on the surface
If  you try to see the meaning, hidden underneath
The measure of the depth can be deceiving
The bottom has a rocky reputation

You can feel it in the distance
the deeper down You stare
From up above it's hard to see
But you know when you're there
On the bottom words are shallow
The surface talk is cheap
You can only judge the distance
by the company you keep
In the eyes of the confessor

In the eyes of the confessor
There's no place you can hide
You can't hide from the eyes (of the confessor)
Don't you even try
In the eyes of the confessor
You can't tell a lie
You cannot tell a lie (to the confessor)
Strip you down to size
Naked as the day that you were born
Naked as the day that you were born

Take all the trauma, drama, comments
The guilt and doubt and shame
The what if's and if only's
The shackles and the chains
The violence and aggression
The pettiness and scorn
The jealousy and hatred
The tempest and discord
And give it up

I am a big fan.
My wife, before we met, was lucky enough to see Rory Gallagher play at Liberty Hall.
I Asked her, "How was it?"
"Loud" she said.
LOL
My wife is like me, in that we both like a lot of different music. although her favorite would be Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez type stuff.

Custom has it that politics is not discussed here.  Okay, this on JFK is a historic event.

It's kind of like something, one would find on a bootleg, the Dylan composition,  it's like more of a curiosity to me. But that's just me.  Not too bad as a commentary. Sort of a free flow of thoughts.
