Trump slams 'Never Trumper Republicans' as 'human scum'
by Ellie Bufkin
 | October 23, 2019 03:57 PM

President Trump took broad aim at "Never Trumper" Republicans in a Wednesday afternoon tweet, calling the dissenting members of the GOP "human scum."

The president condemned the Never Trump movement as he was headed to a conference in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. "The Never Trumper Republicans, though on respirators with not many left, are in certain ways worse and more dangerous for our Country than the Do Nothing Democrats," he tweeted. "Watch out for them, they are human scum!"

Shouldn't you give President Trump a TIME-OUT for that?        :seeya:

VP Pence articulated a provocative and powerful address on China, Trade and Foreign Affairs
this morning, that should significantly raise his profile among republicans; an event long overdue.
At the very least, this will give voters a stable and sensible alternative to the leftist posse
of ranting assholery as well as the increasingly buffoonish and unhinged behavior of Trump.

Perhaps Mr. Trump should read  "How to Make Friends and Influence People" and drop that "human scum" bit.

Aw c'mon, you know the real Trump supporters are in total agreement with POTUS. I can't wait to read the posts of support for Trump's comments.

I'd be all right with Mike Pence in the White House.  At the very least I think he would actually work instead of spending all his time on twitter, golfing, running around the country on a rock star tour and constantly ginning up controversy.

Not so sure.  What do we really know about Mike Pence?  Frankly, before Trump nominated him, I wasn't even aware of him.  When I hear him speak he's seems about as sincere as a 3 dollar bill.  I don't trust him, and I can't help but think he may be part of the 'movement' to get rid of Trump.  I wouldn't be at all surprised.

What's the problem with this?  NTs have called the President worse ... repeatedly.

It's rather unseemly for the snowflakes to be upset or surprised.

Good point.  After all 40, 000 people showed up in the rain to support Pence.

I remember hearing about Pence before -- I think he had considered running for president himself.  Or maybe he did, but his campaign went nowhere   But he seemed to be well liked by most conservatives.

All 10 of them or just 5?

When I consider how important certain issues are facing the country - securing borders, rebuilding the military, negotiating & renegotiating corrosive trade agreements, etc - and how the president has been hobbled by the left and the lack of cohesion on our side in response I have to say I agree entirely with his assessment.

These a-holes need to get over themselves for awhile for sake of the country.

Ron Paul (foremost), Ted Cruz, and Mike Pence were the political leadership behind the Tea Party. Pence was a SOLID Conservative before his governorship (Indiana)... Unfortunately, he pretty well messed that up as governor.

I think he needs more spine. TRUE.
But he has been a reliable Conservative overall, and if he can explain himself on a couple issues as governor, he is quite electable, and I would vote for him.

You have to marvel at Trump's propensity for burning bridges. A certain number of those who've been burned by him are willing to overlook his boorishness. He doesn't need to worry about them. But then there are those who will not overlook his name-calling but will do a 180 away from Trump and retaliate in the process.

Unfortunately, Trump and so many of his devotees think it's just the politicians who feel slapped in the face by the name-calling. They'd be wrong. The average voter takes the insults to heart as well. So many are on the cusp of jumping aboard the Trump train, but his hot rhetoric keeps them from doing so. Criticize them all you want for their indifference and/or negative feelings toward Trump. Just remember that they're potential voters. Maybe Trump and his people don't need their votes. I guess we'll find out in 2020.

Was George Washington "burning bridges" when he declared Benedict Arnold to be a traitor? I think not, as it was Arnold himself who'd burned the bridge in question.

For the record, the "NeverTrumpers" that the President is referring to are not the voting public...rather...it is the NeverTrumpers in positions of power within and without government. Those who are quick to jump in with the Left at every opportunity making proclamations such as that of Pierre Delicto that Trump's call to the Ukrainian President was "troubling". Those who whine and cry that the president is "too crude" in his tweets or "too harsh" in his language...while they sit next to Al Sharpton on an MSNBC panel proclaiming their own "compassionate conservatism". These are the scum that the President is calling "scum".

President Trump, if anything, understates the character of these NeverTrumpers when he proclaims them to be scum.

Benedict Arnold?! Such hyperbole!

You might want to contact the president to let him know that he needs to differentiate between the Mitt Romneys and the ______________s [insert name of any politician who disagrees with Trump, which, BTW, is still legal even when they are misguided] and the lowly voter when he's busy hurling invectives. Just as Trump voters identify with him and consider themselves the ultimate targets of the impeachment efforts, so also do non-Trump voters looking for a reason to support him feel when he disses the NeverTrumpers.

There are many citizens who have a glancing knowledge of all the political theatrics and drama because their lives are too busy with family, work, etc. They're not on message boards, and don't stay on top of all the breaking news stories as many of us do. Still they're voters. If he wants them, he'd better start figuring out how to attract them to the fold. They're not going to be the ones who'll continue their devotion after he murders someone on 5th Avenue.

He should know about scum.  He's the worst scummy president ever.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Indeed, plain people, down through history, focused on family, friends and work,
the core ingredients necessary for their culture/society to survive and thrive.
For others, politics was a quasi-religious activity whose core focus involved minding
other peoples business and the leader they choose often had the trappings of a Messiah,
a deliverer of promises to those faithful to the vision.
Unfortunately, history's success record for these types is embarrassingly bad; the vast
majority being frauds and hustlers. Perhaps, the Trumpeter will be the exception?????

@mystery-ak
@Cyber Liberty

THIS IS OFF TOPIC, but I just heard this, 10:30 pm, central time.  It just came out that Jim Morrison, head of the  NSC, will testify next week at the impeachment inquiry.  He was on the famous call. He is the only one so far who heard the call and will testify about it.  It was said he is mentioned 15 times in Ambassador William Taylor's opening statement.  It also was said he will substantiate Taylor's opening statement.

I think Morrison should have security right now so he is not eliminated before he can testify about the call.

I have a physical copy of Taylor's opening statement, and will count the times Morrison is mentioned but I can tell you right now it is a large number, surely more than 10, so 15 is likely true.
