'C'est moi': Romney confirms his Twitter alter ego Pierre Delecto
Washington Examiner, Oct  20, 2019

Sen. Mitt Romney confirmed that he runs an alter ego Twitter account under the alias Pierre Delecto.

A profile on the Utah Republican published by The Atlantic on Sunday revealed that Romney operates a separate account to monitor political news and commentary but didn't expose his handle.

“I won’t give you the name of it,” he told the outlet, but "I’m following 668 people.”

A reporter for Slate later uncovered what she believed to be Romney's account under the handle @qaws9876 and the name Pierre Delecto. The author of the Atlantic piece then asked the senator if it was indeed his account, which he confirmed.

"Just spoke to @MittRomney on the phone, and asked him about Pierre Delecto," McKay Coppins tweeted. "His only response: 'C'est moi.'"

A self-described "lurker," Slate noted that Romney has only tweeted 10 times as Pierre Delecto, all of which were replies to other tweets. Many of the replies defended the senator in response to critical tweets about him.

Nice to know Romney has nothing better to do than Twitter -- and under a fake account yet.  That senate gig of Romney's must be nice.  Do nothing constructive but tweet, make pronouncements on everything Trump related and just reap a paycheck, plus all the perks and benefits.  Has Romney done any real work as senator -- like maybe craft legislation or something?

The stupid part isn't him having a "secret" twitter account.  The stupid part was him leaking that fact publicly, and providing enough details for an intrepid reporter to ferret out his identity.  That has exposed him as liking tweets that insult some of his fellow GOP Senators, etc....

Romney clearly was trying to establish his niche as the responsible, sober, reasonable Republican who embraces civility and maturity.  This kind of trashes that image.

That would be PJ Gladnik, AKA "PJ Comix" at TOS.  I used to read all his DUFunnies posts, until he decided to make them Vlogs, and I hate that.  I can't hear well enough to keep up with his high-speed delivery.  :shrug:

Yes.
No... NEVER!

My answers are the same.  I have no regrets for my 2012 vote, because he was running against the confirmed Worst President Evah.  Even Mittens comes up electable on the scale of the day.  He just sucks now, in his new gig as "McCain II."  Not the first politician to disappoint, and certainly not the last.
