Gerrit Cole strikes out two and gets an inning-ending groundout. 4-1 Astros, they're three outs away from the ALCS . . . and Cole may be done for the night, but what a performance he put on . . .

Michael Brantley opens the bottom of the eighth with a line shot over the right field fence, it's now 5-1 Astros batting in the bottom of the eighth!

   @Sanguine I have Dish also and watched the Rockets beat up the Raptors 5AM this morning in Japan WITHOUT purchasing NBA League Pass.  I hope the aforementioned channel holds up, it even has the Golf Channel.

It'll be St. Elsewhere vs. E.R. in this ALCS, considering the injury bugs ravaging the Yankees and the Astros this season.

I'm going to be totally honest with you @EdJames, I was sweating bullets today wondering if the bats would come back alive in time. Thankfully for us, they did.

I don't take anythng for granted.  These Astros go into unexplicit slumps out of the blue.  I was afraid games 3 & 4 of this TB series were going to carry over into Game 5.

Astros cold bats + Scherzer and Strausberg and Corbin = Nats WS win
