Elizabeth Warren wins an endorsement and hands Trump another opportunity

President Trump should be happy. After all, Elizabeth Warren took another step towards usurping Bernie Sanders' socialist throne on Monday when the Working Families Party endorsed her campaign for president. Speaking to the New York Times, the party's National Director Maurice Mitchell explained why 60% of eligible party voters had chosen Warren on the first ballot. "Senator Warren," he said, "knows how to kick Wall Street kleptocrats where it hurts, and she’s got some truly visionary plans to make this country work for the many ..."
Those words should ring happy in Trump's ears.
With Warren in second place to Joe Biden in the Democratic presidential primary contest, the senator from Massachusetts has a real shot at becoming her party's nominee. And if that happens, Trump will just have gained another line of attack against his general election opponent: namely, that she's the far-left's chosen candidate.
Warren, of course, will say otherwise. Warren and her Working Families Party supporters will say that she is the candidate willing to take on big business and fight for a fairer life for everyone else. But as long as the economy remains strong, Trump will have an alternate narrative to offer.
