Here’s my other problem. Because the above is undoubtedly true, all this does is reinforce the idea that more traditional, establishment Republicans are still perfectly happy to lose gracefully rather than doing what it takes to win.
This pseudonymous character Bonchie, whoever the heck (s)he is, sure has a lot of gall to tell us we won't "do what it takes to win" all the while telling us there's no way we can possibly win.
Trump is a New York City liberal with some nationalist tendencies whose penchant for running his mouth far outweighs the benefits. He hasn't built the wall. He hasn't revived the Rust Belt; in fact, he has told the very people he promised to help to leave! Pretty much every benefit he can claim is solely the result of Barack Obama being term-limted. A turnip could get these kind of economic returns! He's done nothing on abortion. Nothing to beat back the alphabet soup lobby. Nominated a liberal Brett Kavanaugh to SCOTUS to squander any opportunity to undo previous courts' damages. Continued to escalate the national debt. Folks, we're getting nowhere. Gee, winning sure looks a whole lot like losing lite.
And we have the choice between that, or the socialist left.
How about putting forth a guy who will balance the budget, tell the alphabet soup lobby to go pound sand, put like-minded jurists onto the courts, and put in place policies that will actually help the long-suffering Rust Belt and other struggling areas come back as an economic contributor. Oh, no, we can't do that. We have to sit through five more years of Mr. "Grab'em by the bleep" and "If she weren't my daughter, I'd be dating her." Mr. "I'll use Twitter as my personal insult sounding board where I and my press team will deliberately butcher the English language for entertainment." Mr. Ego.
I can't believe there is anyone who thought Donald Trump was any different from the rest of the Washington swamp.
