Yeah, Gabbard really nailed her ass.  Loved it!

@fayec

I read Doug Shoen's Fox news article. He said Biden was powerful. What was he watching? Slow Joe misspoke and stumbled and said " four more years of Trump would be an aberration;eight more years of Trump and we won't have America." Has any new organization even mentioned that?

Hopefully it's starting to sink in with the average voter that what we have here amounts to 20+ 3rd-rate politicians trying to demote their competitors to 4th-rate so they can be the last one standing. What a trainwreck of a party.

We're used to Slow Joe's malapropisms.  I think he did do better than the last "debates." He's still going to be Rick-Rolled by the barking moonbats, until the designated loony front-runner gets creamed in IA (ala Howard Dean).  If that happens, Joe's the "default candidate" who will clean up, just like John Kerry did in '04.  Dean's IA wipeout was devastating to the left, and he wasn't the only screamer that day.

Yes, Biden did do better than the first round, but at times he still looked confused. There was a photo on Drudge last night where he looked like a lost soul.

I voted for "head for the hills" Yang in the Drudge poll.

Well, the deal breaker for me, is the right-to-life issue and surely, Tulsi is not there per her official platform.  She's in Hawaii which is pretty heavily Democratic (also had 43% voter turnout for the election which must mean something, lowest of all states out there in I gather, paradise.). Her dad was a heavy hitter in the Democrats out there before the Dems went so far left.

This is the Daily Beast so it probably goes overboard some but it captures basic details, article also shows Tulsi on Tucker's show:

Quote
Why Conservative Media and the Far Right Love Tulsi Gabbard for President
The enigmatic congresswoman has earned substantial praise from many across the right—from Fox News star Tucker Carlson to white nationalists like David Duke.

...

While holding familiar Democratic positions on environmental issues, health care, and gun control, Gabbard was a frequent critic of President Obama’s foreign policy, met with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, and has questioned whether he used chemical weapons on his own citizens.

Once discussed among party insiders as a rising star who signed on to be a vice chair at the Democratic National Committee, she quit in protest during the 2016 election and endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

When she ran for re-election in 2018, she had the backing of liberal groups including the AFL-CIO and Planned Parenthood, yet she was briefly considered as a potential member for Trump’s cabinet, and cheered on his diplomatic overtures to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/why-conservative-media-and-the-far-right-love-tulsi-gabbard-for-president

She isn't actually of Indian descent from my understanding but Samoan but supposedly follows the Hindu religion.

Some claim she's tied to so-called "extreme right wingers" over there in Africa:
Quote

Analyst Alleges Hindu Nationalists Created Tulsi Gabbard’s Congressional Career

Rights group claims: “India’s supremacists have infiltrated America and are using her"

By OFMI -
January 26, 2019

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA—”Her congressional career exists because of financing from and free promotion from Hindu nationalist organizations in the U.S. which are directly linked to Hindu nationalist organizations in India which currently control India’s government and which, there, are directly implicated in repeated pogroms and other atrocities against minorities,” alleged South Asian affairs analyst Pieter Friedrich about U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard in an interview with political talk show host Graham Elwood.

https://www.sikh24.com/2019/01/26/analyst-alleges-hindu-nationalists-created-tulsi-gabbards-congressional-career/

I note, the Gabbard camp is trying to call these smears, I think I posted one article where Tulsi has been protested at a few appearances by these other groups from India:

Quote
Tulsi Gabbard’s Connection to Hindu Nationalists Raises Concern date icon 29 Jan 2019 author icon Posted by Elisa Meyer Tulsi Gabbard's Connection to Hindu Nationalists Raises Concern

Tulsi Gabbard’s opponents have attacked her ties with Hindutva organizations.

 On January 11, Tulsi Gabbard, a Democrat elected from Hawaii, announced she is running for the United States presidency in 2020. The 37-year-old has already made her mark in history, being the first Hindu elected to Congress. The American liberal media has voiced its appreciation on several aspects, such as her 2016 support to Bernie Sanders. This does not mean she gets a free pass: many political observers have pointed out her use of the term “radical Islam” when describing terrorism in the Middle East. Some analysts believe her use legitimizes the claim of terrorists to Islam. Now Gabbard is under scrutiny for being close to Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister who himself leads the ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

...

Gabbard consented to be the chairperson of World Hindu Congress, a Hindutva leaning organization. Hindutva is militant Hinduism, which as per devout Hindus is as far from the religion as possible. Only after a political outcry by progressive Hindus has she distanced herself from the organization.

Read more at World Religion News: "Tulsi Gabbard’s Connection to Hindu Nationalists Raises Concern" https://www.worldreligionnews.com/?p=59065

Anyway, I'd maintain, she is far from a traditional Democrat, I personally don't care for her friendliness towards Assad but all of this should be thoroughly explored.

I watched about 15 minutes of the debate last night and couldn't stomach it anymore.  Their primary focus seemed to be on the New Green Deal, free healthcare and beating DJT.  The cost to taxpayers was never mentioned.  I fear for our Republic.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

None have any idea what they're talking about.  At least Biden has the good grace to stutter when he tries to explain the details.

@Right_in_Virginia

The sad,sad truth is this is because none of them has ever had to buy health care insurance,and most of them have never received a medical bill in their lives because they have always had elective office or worked for the government in positions where full health care was a part of the package.

 Soooo,what we have are people who don't have the faintest idea of the problem,taking on the task of solving the problem. It's the equivalent of asking a gangbanger to design a new automatic transmission for your car.

Gee,what could possibly go wrong?

Me too,but we will never see him on teebee anymore. He broke with the mob when he started speaking his own mind instead of the "show biz company line",so he will never get hired again.

Biden:  And if they don't have the money, they get in free (insurance).

Whoa ... the deductible will be out of our paychecks.  THIS is new.

@Right_in_Virginia

No,that has always been at the core of the plan.

No, Joe, we don't "cherry pick" immigrants ... that would be called merit-based immigration.

@Right_in_Virginia

And that right there should be a felony,and the people responsible for it should be arrested and put on trial for it,with treason being the top charge.

Bottom line.... every damned one of them would bankrupt America ....after enslaving middle class American working families with skyrocketing costs for fuel, cost of living and higher and higher taxes.... all to pay for their pie in the sky socialist policies that subsidize every freeloading moocher on the planet that manages to 'get here'.   And all the while.... forcing us to suffer under their government run health programs while they keep their platinum elite healthcare and benefits.... fit for royalty (which is what the Democrats in DC think they are).

@XenaLee

The saddest part of all that is I honestly don't think any of them are smart enough to understand the consequences. They really do think all they have to do to pay for it is to print more money,and the problem will be solved.

This is what happens when we have career politicians who have never had to handle and meet a budget.

@EdJames

Generally speaking,this is true. Smart kids don't usually attend public schools because their parents want them to learn something useful.

Oh, that I'm sure of! She wouldn't be a Democrat if she wasn't a Left-winger.
Even so, I liked that she socked it to Harris. That one needed to be and brought  down a notch or two.

Yang has an autistic child. His wife's work isn't paid. That is why he should be prez instead of Joe.

@austingirl

Big deal. I was an autistic child. Maybe they should just make ME president?

We've already experienced the novelty of a gay black president,  so I don't see what Booker has to offer.

@mountaineer

Is he actually a "out" homo? He seems to be as queer as a 3 dollar bill when seeing and  hearing him on teebee.

@EdJames

Big deal.I  would be happy to give a few of the younger ones a leg up. Maybe even 2 legs up.

Providing they don't want to talk afterwards,of course. Dim women make my head hurt.

Meghan McCain Clashes With ‘View’ Co-Hosts on Tulsi Gabbard: She’s No ‘Russian Stooge’
Justin Baragona Updated 08.01.19 1:14PM ET / Published 08.01.19 12:32PM ET

Meghan McCain rallied to Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard’s defense Thursday on The View, as she pushed back against her co-hosts’ concerns that the Hawaii congresswoman could be a “Trojan horse” getting a boost from Russian propaganda outlets.

During Wednesday night’s Democratic primary debate, Gabbard had a brief breakout moment when she called out California Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) on her record as a prosecutor and on criminal justice. Following the debate, however, Harris dissed Gabbard’s low poll numbers while criticizing the congresswoman for being an “apologist” for Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

“The Republicans like her, and I think she’s a real Trojan horse here because when you look at her record, in particular, she’s apologized for it but she was very anti-LGBTQ community,” co-host Sunny Hostin said Thursday on The View. “She also has praised Trump for meeting with Kim Jong Un three times.”

https://www.thedailybeast.com/meghan-mccain-clashes-with-view-co-hosts-on-tulsi-gabbard-shes-no-russian-stooge

She also said something pretty negative about Trump before per Syria. Whatever.
