Congressman Calls For Antifa to be Labeled a Domestic Terror Organization

Republican Congressman Jim Banks has called for Antifa to be labeled a “domestic terror organization” following the violence in Portland on Saturday.

Numerous people were violently attacked by far-left thugs during the rally, including journalist Andy Ngo, who was doused with milkshakes containing quick drying cement and had to be treated for brain bleed.

Two other attendees were attacked with metal poles and maced, leaving one with deep gashes in his head that required 25 stitches.

This should be a no-brainer, so it won't happen.

Antifa and the mayor of Portland (Ted Wheeler, who allowed the fascists to run amok) should all be prosecuted and Wheeler removed from office.
But the fact that there was little backlash from the liberal citizens of Portland to organized lawlessness condoned by the authorities is a bigger problem.
Citizens who tolerate other citizens being assaulted by thugs enabled by the authorities suggests how far down the leftist road many Americans have gone. Civil war or a split is not out of the question if half of the citizens of a country disregard the rule of law.

In no way are the actions of the Antifa terrorists, justified.

However that does not obviate the need for folks to use common sense.

Andy Ngo has states that he was naive, and he made a mistake walking directly into a situation that he knew could result in serious harm.
