Damascus explosion 'assassination attempt' against pro-Assad mouthpiece: Syria regime

A pro-regime commentator was allegedly targeted in an assassination attempt in the Syrian capital.

A bomb blast in Damascus on Thursday, which injured two civilians, was an attempted assassination against a well known pro-Assad commentator, Syrian regime media has reported on Thursday.

The explosion, on the al-Mezzeh highway in the Syrian capital, was allegedly targeting Taleb Ibrahim, whom the regime describe as a "political researcher and analyst".
