Damascus, Russia using ‘cocktail’ of banned weapons in NW Syria: HRW

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Internationally banned and indiscriminate weapons including cluster munitions and incendiary bombs are being used by the Russian-Syrian military alliance in their ongoing military offensive in northwest Syria, Human Rights Watch said Monday.

The offensive has left hundreds of civilians dead and hundreds of thousands displaced.

“The Syrian-Russian military alliance is using a cocktail of internationally banned and indiscriminate weapons on a trapped civilian population,” Lama Fakih, acting Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, said today.
