Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Says She Told Senate Democrats to Vote ‘Present’ on Green New Deal

The Senate crushed the Green New Deal on Tuesday with a 0-57 vote against the resolution, with three Democrats and one Independent voting “no” and 43 Democrats voting “present.”

Democrats tried to spin the resolution’s failure into a win for the radical proposal, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who introduced it last month and took credit for Democrats not voting in favor of the measure.

Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to respond to Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, who tweeted: “Why did Senate Democrats just duck a vote on your #GreenNewDeal?”

“Because I encouraged them to vote present, along w/ others,” Ocasio Cortez tweeted. “McConnell tried to rush the #GreenNewDeal straight to the floor without a hearing.”
 
“The real question we should be asking: Why does the Senate GOP refuse to hold any major hearings on climate change?” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

AOC is merely one of the many mouths of the Democommie Party.  She would have an anurism if her brain had to actually send something resembling a thought through it.

One of Pookie's pics was AOC and a box a rocks, with the box of rocks winning the contest of intelligence hands down.  Somehow, I think it a terrible insult to rocks to compare them to AOC.  The word intelligence should not occur in the same sentence with that blank slate.

Oh how I wish she remains a rep for 70 years, but sadly, I think she will run for senator sooner than America can afford her being 1 of 100 versus 1 of 435 or so.  But even as a senator, I believe she will replace Pelosi as the GOP's clown poster child.

The Democommie Party is imploding as a result of embracing socialism as they have done.  Other than idiot college students who want everything for free, no one embraces this but an old hag like Bernie Sanders, who in 30 years has accomplished nothing but live off the dole of the government.

If the Dems want to survive this century, they need to get back to basics, and they have tossed the working man in favor of the illegal alien.  Huge mistake.
