Mueller Sends Report On Trump Investigation To AG Barr

Special counsel Robert Mueller on Friday wrapped up his nearly two-year investigation into Donald Trump and Russia and sent his report to Attorney General Barr.

No details of Mueller's findings have been released, but Barr said he may be able to brief congressional leaders on the report as soon as this weekend.

Talk about a bad day to be analysts, commentators, hosts, and pundits at CNN who had been wanting the First Family’s legal situation to end in criminal charges and for the Trump presidency to end in disgrace.

On Friday afternoon after the Mueller Report had been handed over to Attorney General Bill Barr, chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin and crime and justice reporter Shimon Prokupecz conceded that the lack of further indictments (sealed or unsealed) in relation to the Mueller probe is a “huge victory for the President” and “really good news” for individuals who had been subject to endless media speculation.

How bad did it get? Two CNN personalities even admitted that Trump “had been vindicated.” More on that shortly.

After Laura Jarrett delivered the news that there would be no further indictments (or recommended ones), Prokupecz told host Wolf Blitzer that this was “probably one of the most significant pieces of information of all this because there's been so much speculation from everywhere” that “more is coming.”

Even though that was not, per se, the brief Mueller was given? Evidently, surprisingly, he kept tolerably well, acceptably within the boundaries given him by Rosenstein.

It's only a "hot potato" in the hands of the demonrats @edpc    Grand jury proceedings are secret because no judge is present; there are no attorneys other than the prosecutor; and the defendant has no right to present his or her case or even to be informed of the proceedings at all. While court reporters can transcribe the proceedings, the records are sealed.

Grand jury testimony is presented at trial after the indictment, with a judge, defense attorneys and the opportunity for the defendant to present his or her case.

How did special counsel Robert Mueller spend his Friday night after delivering his long-awaited report on the Russia probe? Dining at a local eatery he often frequents, according to a report.

Mueller, arguably one of the most talked-about people in the nation’s capital, was seen sitting in his regular booth at Washington, D.C.’s, Salt & Pepper Restaurant, according to Politico.

During the nearly two years Mueller oversaw the probe into Russian meddling, the former FBI director was often spotted at the restaurant on weekends with his wife, Politico reported.

Mueller is a fan of the scallops, while wife Ann gets a Caesar salad with salmon, a source told the outlet.

In a letter to lawmakers Friday, Barr wrote that he may be in a position to share the principal conclusions "this weekend."
