(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) joined Rep. Henry Cuellar (D.-Texas) in his Texas district, in the border city of Laredo, on Saturday, where she said at a press conference that the House will vote on a resolution of disapproval of President Donald Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the border because Congress is “there to honor the Constitution and protect it.”

“So, we do not see this as a declaration of an emergency, it shouldn’t be, and therefore under the leadership of Congressman Joaquin Castro, on Monday, we will send to the Rules Committee the resolution of disapproval of the President’s actions,” Pelosi said.
