Pushed by Republicans to boot...

Quote
Arizona could soon be one of the first states to maintain a massive statewide DNA database.
And if the proposed legislation passes, many people â€” from parent school volunteers and teachers to real estate agents and foster parents â€” will have no choice but to give up their DNA.

Under Senate Bill 1475, which Sen. David Livingston, R-Peoria, introduced, DNA must be collected from anyone who has to be fingerprinted by the state for a job, to volunteer in certain positions or for a myriad of other reasons.....

Intrusive garbage.  If everyone would rebel and tell them to stick it up their ass, they wouldn't have any recourse.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

You have only been required to be finger printed to drive, to be a real estate agent, for what...decades?

The DNA technology that identified the Sacramento mass murderer, identified a killer in Alaska yesterday.

1. The dna database used (Gedmatch) is 100% voluntary--the murderer's cousin opted in.

So next I expect contemporary "true conservatives" to bitch about fingerprints.

Why am I not surprised you would support this?

Opt in then Buddy.  i hope some unscrupulous bureaucrat sells your dna data, and you suffer the consequences.

And I expect the idiot left to, as usual, roll over and 'play dead' when it comes to the shredding of every vestige of the rights given to us by God and enforced by the US Constitution.  When Americans are forced to accept the Mark (probably an rfid chip).... you can thank the godless, idiot leftists.  You know... the ones that bash conservatives.

They already sell and even give other similar data away for free. It is no stretch at all to believe an insurance company would love this data to rate you based on genetic potential, not actual conditions. The PKU blood test data that has been collected since the 60s has already been used against people getting jobs because of the financial risk to insure them. These were not 'opt-in', several states were mandating this test on all infants born in their state.

Texas passed it for new licenses. 6 states have this. California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii (in some cities), Texas, and West Virginia.

North Dakota either (CCW is optional in state for residents), but the fingerprints are for FBI and ND BCI background investigations.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I don't see this surviving a "5th and 4th Amendment" challenge.

I could be wrong.

Same here in FL.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Not here.

And no, I will give them exactly 'not a damn thing' without a warrant, and even at that, only what they can find.

I submit that it is done in complicity.
