President Trump Considering Using Puerto Rico Disaster Funds for Wall

President Trump is reportedly considering tapping into disaster funds to fund his border wall, including money reserved for Puerto Rico.

A funding source opens up

The President has been briefed on a plan to use $13.9 billion and the Army Corps of Engineers to build the wall, presumably after declaring a national emergency. The Pentagon, as we reported earlier, is drawing up plans to construct a wall in anticipation of a declared emergency. President Trump will still need to finance the wall construction. To do so, he’s been demanding $5.7 billion from congressional Democrats, who have opposed the plan all along.
