Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — who was sworn in earlier Thursday — is coming out of the gate swinging at President Donald Trump.

According to accounts from multiple reporters, the new Congresswoman made a sharply-worded pledge to a crowd at a reception held by the progressive group MoveOn near Capitol Hill on Thursday night.

Axios’s Alexi McCammond reports that Tlaib quoted her son telling her, “Look mama you won. Bullies don’t win.” Tlaib reportedly replied, “You’re right, they don’t. And we’re gonna go in and impeach the bleep.”

There isn't congressional support sufficient to put forward a budget that addresses the federal deficits. That's a shameful fact...but it is clearly a fact. The President doesn't make laws nor does he vote on a budget (until it hits his desk for signing). The President, for example, would love to impose the "penny plan" to cut spending but without the votes his hands are completely tied. You seem to want him to tilt at windmills over the deficit...when you should be lobbying to get more fiscally responsible GOP members into the House of Reps who will vote for cutting. Until that happens, no President can fix this problem...and it is admittedly a huge problem.

That said, beating his head on a cement wall with no possibility of success would be stupid...so the President works to fix what he CAN fix. The deficit is not within his political power to fix...that would take strong GOP majorities in both Houses of Congress...and even that might not be enough.

The market correction is simply a function of profit taking in an otherwise strengthening economy...coupled with political turbulence. Remember, that correction is occurring ONLY because Trump's policy let the market, and the economy, surge in unprecedented manner. But even that surge MUST have a correction...it is, in fact, a healthy occurrence.

None of that is stealing from "us". If you want to see stealing, wait until folks like Ocasio-Cortez are running the nation. If you folks keep up this circular firing squad crap, that is what we will get. How about an 80-90% tax rate..."hate" speech banned in all public arenas...totally open borders...and spending doubled and tripled whilst national defense withers away to nothing. There’s some interesting fiction. Trump has repeatedly pushed for raising the gas tax, to fund his infrastructure plan. His daughter advocates expanded paid family leave. In his book, The America We Deserve, he calls himself very liberal on healthcare. In his own plan, during the campaign, he advocated block grants to states for Medicaid. So, yes, you are paying for someone else’s healthcare. As far as rights go, I guess you forgot about him saying ‘due process later’ on live television.

I hear what you're saying, but its clear that while the percentages supporting either side have remained about unchanged the chains have been moved pretty far down the left side of the field.

For example, many leftist politicians proudly and openly declare themselves socialists and still win races. This has never happened on this scale in my lifetime.

The ideological gulf between left and right has never been wider. The left, on whole, has never been more angry and bitter. There will be no reconciliation. So where does that leave us going forward?

This is outlandish and over the top and any REP who uses such language against the President of the United States should be highly criticized, and made by the Speaker of the House to publicly apologize not only to the President but to the American people and perhaps even impeached (if a Congressmen can be impeached).  Nancy needs to do the right thing here and make a statement that she does not condone this type of action from anyone seated in the House and will not be tolerated.

There is a huge difference between using the words, Lying, Fat, Ugly, Crooked, etc., and coming out and using profanity against someone, especially the President of the United States.  I am in no way excusing those words coming from our President, but there is a difference between using adjectives and using expletives.
