It’s war: Rand Paul hits ‘Big Government’ Romney, Trump an ‘actual conservative’

Washington is already taking sides in the battle between President Trump and incoming Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, with Trump ally Sen. Rand Paul slamming the 2012 GOP presidential nominee.

Paul tweeted that Romney is a “Big Government Republican” and faux conservative.

In reacting to Romney’s attack in the Washington Post on Trump, Paul also made clear that he does not think Romney, who is still to be sworn in as a new senator, has any affinity for former President Reagan.

I'd venture to say neither Romney nor Trump are actual conservatives.

The closest we had to an actual conservative in a meaningful position of influence was Paul Ryan, but he didn't have the fortitude to stand up for his principles, and that's why he was run out of office with his tail between his legs last year.

Romney is garbage. He brings nothing to the table except maintaining the Establishment approved status quo with his some sort of irrational 1950's civility. Trump has dome more Conservative things in 2 years than Romney was even talking about when he ran.
