Train accident on Danish bridge kills six

Six people have been killed and 16 injured in a train accident on the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark.

Rail network officials said debris from a freight train - possibly a tarpaulin - hit a commuter train during a heavy storm, forcing it to brake suddenly.

Rescuers are working to free around 100 passengers who remain trapped on board.

100 passengers trapped on board per the last paragraph.  A heavy storm so rain? Snow? Winds? Apparently, winds at this point, some debris blew on the track. See story.

Could have been debris on the tracks from a shifted load. Or perhaps a sideswipe as well.

The wind must have been blowing pretty hard to do that!
