@corbe Thank you.  Now I think I'll just remove myself for the same reason.

Let me be the first to predict:

If Donald Trump isn't the Republican nominee in 2020, the GOP will suffer the LOWEST voter turnout of any presidential election in our history.

I really can't see any candidate in their right mind challenging Trump in 2020.  I do have my doubts though that Trump will run for re-election.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

That is not necessary @Bigun I will refrain in the future from showing my disdain for Mitt Romney by using his Religious affiliation, it's so TOSish..

Trump does need to step aside and let somebody else carry the banner in 2020.  He beat the worst nominee ever by the skin of his teeth.  Some may still regard that as miraculous?  His unpopulairty caught up to him in the midterms.  Largest dem vote share in the House since 1986.  24/35 Senate races.  Seven governorships and hundreds of legislative seats.  Unless something changes, we'll have zero input after the next election.

QFT.

That's the bottom line, folks.   We can't advance conservatism any longer in the context of a national pissing match over whether Trump gets to call border security a wall.   The national debate  is a disgrace,   and the Dems and Trump are both paralyzed in fear that the narrative of Trump as devil/savior be changed.

Well I say let's change it.   Romney's greatest sin wasn't to call for seriousness and leadership in Washington,  it's his failure to realize that the last thing the Dems want is to join him in it.

So yeah, the Dems (and their enablers in the media) are as much invested in the chaos narrative as Trump is.   But how long can this shit go on?   Romney may be an imperfect champion,  but a willingness to lance the boil that is infecting America is something I am pleased to see.

Denigrating a President on TBR 24/7 is an actual Conservative pursuit? Shit then. Looks like Rachael Maddow is the new Bill Buckley.

Make that "3 part harmony"

--Democrats

Media

--GOP/"conservative" #Nevertrumps,

All singing about "helping" save the Republicans from Trump with dignified losses.

Said losses they have proved adept at getting on their own.

GHW Bush 1992

Bob Dole 1996

McCain 2008

Romney 2012

GW Bush garners a technical win in 2000, with SC help, over a 3rd term of an impeached Potus

I wonder who Romney has his eyes on the dignified loss on the GOP side?

First off McSally ran as the anti Trump......but that being said, you can't win them all, but he won a lot of seats that were supposed to be gone.

Yes ... McSally should have won but she made a big mistake disavowing Trump.  That's what cost her the race.

And if it's not "Trump", sit, they most certainly will.

On the other hand apparently he's given your life meaning.

Good point @skeeter   Trump hate has given many peoples' lives meaning but they are mostly democrats or media types.  But there are many people right here who live to trash Trump.

Really sad.

The criticisms are tired and cliche. The only intent is to provoke others here.

Gratifying to some, I guess, but I couldn't tell you why.

Many have made posting here tedious. It seems on nearly every thread and in every political conversation Trump supporters are having to pick apart phony criticisms of Trump that are based solely on a daily tapestry of lies and caricatures pushed by media and democrats. I doubt if any of these folks have firsthand knowledge what Donald Trump is really like, yet they speak with certainty he’s the devil.

Did she disavow him, when they appear together at a Phoenix rally, in mid October?
