Thanks for your deep interest in me @goodwithagun .  I agree with @Right_in_Virginia a lot but if you happen to disagree, run for the hills.  I believe her main interest is in the President so I might have to get in line.

What are you talking about here @Emjay

Got news for you...the die hard Trumpsters are decidedly NOT my compadres.

Let me know when you actually have news for me.

I'm talking about the time I got two rather nasty personal messages from you after I disagreed with you about ... I dunno ... Ted Cruz maybe.

@Emjay is referring to the spat she had with @Right_in_Virginia last month. If I have the time I’ll post a link to the spat. Spoiler alert: It’s glorious! Anyway, I love how RIV is trying to win MJ back in post #7. You ladies keep it up! In some states you can make it legal!

If you put this much thought and energy into your comments on current political events @goodwithagun you'd up your game considerably.

Maybe add this to your new year's resolutions?   88devil

Why does this matter now @Emjay

It doesn't matter to me.  I'd really gotten way past it.  But it seems to be deeply important to @goodwithagun  who likes to see other people fight.

So, the vast improvement in the economy and job market is rhetorical?  Not to the worker bees.

So the putting America first in foreign policy is rhetorical?

So nominating good justices is?  So reducing the size of government and getting rid of unnecessary agencies is?

Economy?  Guess you haven't been watching the markets lately have you?

2018 was the worse on my portfolio than either '08 or '00.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

And the Deep State Global Bankers Cartel (The Fed) had to stick its grubby, unconstitutional fingers into the interest rate pie 4 times to try to tank it.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Are you talking about the same interest rates that the president himself one said were kept too low for too long and encouraging the creation of a “big fat bubble?”
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

What I'm talking about is not anything Trump said about the Fed one way or another but the utter, thieving, complete Uselessness of the entire scam itself.

Show me in the Constitution where Anyone but Congress is responsible for the money supply.

If we weren't cursed with the Fed these problems wouldn't exist, and interest rates would be true Free Market.

It’s in Section I. They created the Treasury Department in the first Congress, using their power to legislate, and gave Treasury specific financial management responsibilities under the control of the Executive.

Then, through acts of Congress, they ceded that power and responsibility to Treasury.

That is not the Constitution, which is what I asked you for: not something these a$$holes pulled After the Fact.

If you want to unravel down That road you can Also argue that Sec 5 of the 14th Amendment completely abrogates the bill of rights by allowing Congress to pick and choose which parts of them they will choose to fund.

Screw the Fed.

The same ‘a$$holes’ that created and ratified the Constitution created Treasury in 1789. You can’t dismiss something that was changed through lawful and constitutional means, just because you don’t like it. If we’re going to be strict constructionists from 1789, we may as well designate a segment of the population 3/5ths of a person, with no rights.

Excuse me. There was nothing lawful or Constitutional about it. What you cited is NOT in Article 1.

Where did you learn to read English? Harvard Law School?

The language is very specific.

"Congress shall have the power" in no way grants them the authority to turn their back on their Mandated Duty by delegating it.

They wouldn't have been granted the power without the expectation of them using it, not delegating it.

What you cited directly contravenes the Constitution without amending it.

It is therefore null, inoperative, and Void.

Yeppers.  Kind of the way I see it as well.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Keep that in mind before you hand me another pantload about what's IN the Constitution, when it is not.

$22 Trillion in debt, which we would Not have if Congress were actually doing the job the Constitution mandates they do.

How many of these should be (Congressional) Yardbirds would be handing out Federal Reserve Notes (IOUs) by the $Billion to buy votes if they had to justify Creating all this phony paper to the voters before they just yanked it out of their butts.

A reflection.
Some 1000 years ago, Great Britain constituted the Exchequer,
to collect and allocate the finances of their nation/state.
Over time it became responsible for monetary policy and is an
appendage of the British Treasury, a senior Cabinet entity
controlled by the party who holds power in the House of Commons.
Virtually all European nation/states have a kindred system.
WHY THE HELL DO WE HAVE AN INDEPENDENT FED!!!!!!!

Excellent point. It doesn't matter who we vote for and what economic policies they are trying to institute. The Fed can just do whatever the hell they want and suffer no consequence.

Well,  look at you @catfish1957 with a portfolio and all.  My husband got us out of the stock market before the last crash and we are now just in growth stocks, which is actually 'not so much growth.

I think most people agree that the economy is better over all and the job market is certainly better.
