Friday, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” discussed the GOP’s midterm numbers heading into next week’s election despite President Donald Trump’s rally efforts.

Host Joe Scarborough noted how Rep. Barbara Comstock’s (R-VA) numbers have “collapsed” since Trump started talking about sending troops to protect the United States-Mexico border, as well as other Republicans around the country experiencing a drop in numbers.

“There’s one poll after another poll after another poll that just shows pretty remarkable results,” Scarborough declared. “This strategy is failing the president.”

MSNBC’s Willie Geist tacked on, “For all the places that are welcoming Donald Trump to rallies this weekend and want him there to help prop up a candidate, there are many, many others who want him to stay away. He’s talked about him a lot. And a new report suggests that could be a problem for his party. According to “The New York Times,” the president may prove to be a breaking point in Tuesday’s contest for educated wealthier white Republicans, especially women.”

It's almost like Trump might not be as popular as his 42% approval rating would indicate.

Well not only the Senate has been saved from losses but it looks like there will be some gains and the House went from total disaster to coin toss. The base is pumped when they were otherwise flat. Just look at the miles of cars at one of these rallies.

BTW Joe I hope you die of painful cancer and burn in hell for murdering your intern and paying off FL officials to skate on it.

Well your boy Obama can barely get a couple hundred people to his rallies. Trump is packing stadiums. Now tell me again this isn't motivating the GOP base?

Clinton Win, Democratic Senate Seen by Analyst Charlie Cook

Political analyst Charlie Cook in National Journal predicts that Hillary Clinton will win presidential election and Democrats will take control of Senate.

Says Donald Trump has no margin of error and would need to win all 24 states carried by Mitt Romney in 2012 to win race
Won’t put specific percentage on Clinton’s chances of winning, but says "it’s a really big number"
Predicts Democrats will gain 4 seats to give them a 50-50 split of chamber, where ties would be broken by Democratic Vice President Tim Kaine with a Clinton win
Cook says he expects Democrats to topple Republican incumbents Mark Kirk of Ill., Ron Johnson of Wis. and Pat Toomey of Pa. while holding onto seat being vacated by Harry Reid in Nev.; would put "pinkie on the scale" that Democrats also take seat held by Kelly Ayotte of N.H.
Says races for seats controlled by Republicans in N.C. and Mo. are too close to call

@mystery-ak

I don't think rallies now are going to change anyone's vote.  If we are paying for his planes to fly around the country every day, that is adding to the deficit.  I do believe he has a problem with Republican women and especially Independent Voter women.
And, I keep thinking about the huge number of Texas Democrats who showed up at primary voting, a number that hasn't happened in Texas voter recorded history.  We don't have a Democrat in any state office except for a few in state judges.  I hope we keep it that way (and the few state judges fail).

Must be why Obama is scurrying around after Trump with his crew of special effects artists attempting the same.

So did I, and I was and remain thrilled we finally got the Win with Trump, who is trying to enact things that REAL conservatives have said they wanted for years.

Higher economic growth, higher stock market, lower unemployment, lower taxes, stronger military, better international policies (Korea, Iran, Paris, etc.), reduced regulation, improved policies against illegal immigration, conservative SC Justices. conservative federal judges, and more.

BTW Tump was 51% yesterday on Rass.

Enjoy your syndrome.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
If this is failure, then what does it say about the Dem rock stars barely able to fill the local community center?

It's almost like the idiot left think/hope that if they say it out loud, it may come true.   :silly:

I wouldn't know about the idiot left or idiot right.  I know I've seen hundreds of polls, lots of protests, record GOP retirements, FEC figures, and the ineptitude of President Trump.
:2popcorn:
We will know soon.

I suspect this is crap.

If you care enough about what Trump (or anyone else) thinks to attend a rally, you're probably going to be a little more fired up about voting for the candidate he's stumping for, unless he just totally screws up.

If you don't care enough about what Trump (or anyone else) thinks to attend a rally, you're probably not going to be affected one way or the other, unless you're an independent/undecided and get stuck in traffic or something.

Psst. Hey buddy. What does your internal polling in the DNC tell you is going to happen on Tuesday?

I anything but a Trump fan.  What is going on in this country drives me to vote Republican.  (Early in case something happened on the 6th to keep me away.)  I do find encouragement in the numbers at those rallies.  Does that make sense?

Considering how unhinged and prone to violence the idiot left/Democrats have become (even worse than during the GWB years).... it is crucial that we vote against the rats by voting GOP ....

from .... now.... on.

That's how I see things.  Clearly, IOW.

I said in another thread that in PA, many of our races appear to be favoring the Democrats, if one believes in polls.  But I guess we will find out on Tuesday.  We don't have early voting here, so there is nothing really beyond some suspect  polls to gauge the mood of the voters.
