Cook Political Report outlook: Democrats gain 30-40 seats in House, up from 25-35
by Daniel Chaitin

A political analyst updated his outlook for the House just days before midterm elections, giving the Democrats an even greater edge over Republicans hoping to maintain power.

Dave Wasserman, who is House editor of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report, tweeted Wednesday that their forecast was being updated, predicting that Democrats gain 30-40 seats, up from 25-35 seats.

Wasserman added that this prediction could change before the Nov. 6 midterm elections.

If you weight all of the LV polls by sample size, it comes to around 6 points in favor of the dems.  They only gained 30 seats with an 8 point advantage in 2006.  It still looks to be a very close margin if they do win control.

All these polls are just that polls, that have been proven to be inaccurate the last several election cycles.

God help us if the DEMS win the majority in either House.  I feel we haven't done enough once again. Many, many people relied on the words and promises of Pres. Trump, forgetting that 535 members of Congress ARE responsible for the situation that we are in; they are the ones that make laws, make the budget, confirm judges, make treaties, serve on committees, etc.  Pres. Trump is not up for re-election, our Congressmen are; though he's gone around the country begging people to vote GOP in key Congressional races.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Trump don't talk about them if they ain't about him and they ain't good.

I really wish people would stop posting polls.  Elections are Tuesday.  Polls have proved wildly inaccurate ever since the advent of cell phones.

For some reason negative polls seem popular with NTers?  Why?

I'm just glad that he has finally woken up to the importance of Congress.

Someone finally got through to him that the House votes on impeachment, I guess.
