Math doesn't lie but people on this forum do, frequently.

Really @Emjay?  Go back and read your post.  I copied and paste.  End of discussion.

Well, @libertybele, I guess you got me but you will notice I didn't name anyone in particular so whoever took it personally, well ...

Oh really???

We've been watching this same stupid show over and over and over again - WITH THE SAME EXACT RESULTS.

Your boy Trump is no more committed to ending the migrant invasion and closing the borders than Bush or Obama were.  He's doing the same damn thing they are.

And when this next 'caravan get here', we will be doing the same exact thing that is happening today - only on a grander scale.

Camp of the Saints is here.

The only thing sad about it is these people are guilty of child abuse.  Sadly the U.N.  and other sympathy pushers encourage child abuse.  Any sane person would know a 3, 4, 5-10 year old is not capable of walking from Honduras to the U.S.  Not even the adults have the stamina.  Anyone with children know that just is torture.  They gather in a group of people they don't even know.  People from the group have verified a criminal element.

Common among people coming to the U.S. illegally is human trafficking, rape, murder and extortion.  And believe me the more tired, the more people will be looking for ways to be trucked in.  Thus extortion, human trafficking, rape and murder.

Its the same for people bringing their children through the desert with their small children.  Child abuse.

These people have been offered asylum from the Mexican government.  To stay in the two most southern states where they are.  Promised jobs and health.  They could end the torture they are putting their children through.  But no.  They don't want it.  They are going for the bigger bag of benefits in the U.S.

If the UN wanted to be helpful they would step in to save the children.  Step in with UN forces to stop the child abuse.  Stop the caravan in its track.  Make it absolutely clear anyone who does not want to return to Honduras must take the Mexican deal.  Otherwise they will be deported.

Its the way you roll.  You don't name them but by your words give the clues to make it obvious.  Then you pull this.

Whatever Emjay.

Very little of you.

Any thread that goes over 10 pages inevitably descends into feuding.  It should be a policy to close threads that go that long, unless, of course, they are about Roy Moore.

I apologize.  I just get tired of it.  I will refrain.

Not by itself it doesn't. Someone(s) start it.

https://news.un.org/en/story/2018/10/1024222

UNICEF warns the long and difficult journey to the U.S. border has left the children "exposed to inclement weather, including dangerously hot temperatures, with limited access to proper shelter."
The agency added that while many of the migrants are fleeing violence or poverty in their home countries, "the journey is long, uncertain and full of danger, including the risk of exploitation, violence and abuse."

My question is why, when they know the dangers to children’s health and well being  don’t they stop it?  They want to report on child abuse and do nothing to stop it?

Wrong, @Emjay  Invariably, in my experience, just about any Thread that goes over 5 pages becomes a utility for Briefers to discuss just about anything and 9 times out of 10 it is as 'worthy' of thought than more mundane details relating to the OP.
I applaud and am thankful the Mods usually tolerate the meanderings that is US, at least until someone picks at a scab that should have healed years ago and causes a Lock AND I'm not pointing fingers at ANYONE.   :grouphug:
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

I've noticed that, no matter the length of the thread, gripes about the moderating start when one side or the other starts getting their heads handed to them.  Just look at the comments to the Mod on this thread.

I think you've always been upfront about taking lumps. rrthree

U.S. Moving Military Equipment to Southern Border in Preparation for Migrant Caravan, Mattis Says

http://time.com/5437152/united-states-southern-border-military/

The U.S. military has already begun delivering jersey barriers to the southern border in conjunction with plans to deploy active duty troops there, U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Sunday as a caravan of Central Americans slowly heads across Mexico toward the United States.Mattis told reporters traveling with him that details of the deployment are still being worked out but he should have them Sunday night. They will include exactly how many forces are needed. The additional troops will provide logistical and other support to the Border Patrol, and will bolster the efforts of the approximately 2,000 National Guard forces already there. The new forces are expected to provide logistical assistance such as air support and equipment, including vehicles and tents.National Guard troops routinely perform those same functions, so it is not clear why active duty forces are being used.

WTF?  The 2000 NG unarmed forces that are already there?  It sounds like these will be more pencil pushers.

More like getting pushers to push the pencil pushers.  Not to worry, they're bringing "Jersey Barriers."   *****rollingeyes*****

Hey, if we haven't already shut down the border over uncontrolled illegal immigration, massive and damaging drug traffic, human trafficking, gun running, rampant abuse and sometimes murder of federal officers, auto theft and other crimes, and on and on, why the hell would we shut it down for a mere 10,000 more "asylum seekers"?

I sure would like to be wrong about this one, but I'm not hopeful.
