Does the President still have personal dealings with the Saudis or have those dealings been passed onto his sons through the various businesses?  Good for these Senators....and IMHO they need to be investigating Kushner as well.

Senators demand Trump disclose Saudi ties and 'suspend business relationships'

A group of 11 US Senators have demanded Donald Trump disclose his financial ties to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after the reported murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

In a letter to the president, the Democrats said his handling of the Saudi Arabian journalist and Washington Post contributor’s disappearance “raise significant concerns about financial conflicts of interest”.

“According to public reports, the Trump Organisation for decades has maintained business relationships with the government of Saudi Arabia and members of the Saudi royal family,” the senators wrote. “For instance, in 1995, a Saudi prince led a group of investors that acquired the Plaza Hotel in a deal to pay off Trump Organisation debts on the property for $325m.”

Mr Trump has suggested "rogue killers" may have murdered Mr Khashoggi — a US permanent resident — inside a Saudi consulate, with Turkish intelligence officials claiming to have evidence that the writer was killed. Saudi Arabia has denied any involvement in the case.

President Trump has flatly rejected the idea of withdrawing from a $110bn arms deal with the nation over the crisis......

What is vitally important today are the personal ties that the POTUS and his family (including his son-in-law) have with the Saudis.  Yes, as POTUS of course Trump is going to have a relationship with the Saudis, but what is the current personal business relationship(s) between the Saudis and the Trumps?

I think this is a legitimate concern.  Granted his family took over his businesses when he became President; but Kushner's dealings especially should be looked into -- Jared is his senior adviser and should have NEVER been allowed that position.  (For crying out loud, Kushner accepted $$ from Soros for start up of one of his companies which included an insurance company for Bammycare.)

It's no secret that Kushner has ties ... again ... how deep does that relationship go?

I don't particularly like Kushner at all but now is not the time to do a witch hunt on Trump and get all caught up in examining all his former business interests.  It just isn't.  We have so much more to worry about.

  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion
Maybe the Dems should lead by example on this if it's so important to them?

Indeed this country has a lot to worry about, but that doesn't mean we should give Jared a free pass nor any member of Trump's family.  Yes we have a lot to worry about .... clearly corruption on the other side of the aisle, but that doesn't absolve the right from any wrongdoing.

Saudi Arabia is the new "Russia".

Yep, that's going nowhere, so they need a new "collusion" story.
