The “I Feel Pretty” star continued, “Being a woman sucks. It’s very difficult, and something else that we’ve all realized is like, we are sexualized like, all the time – even when it seems crazy – so I feel really bad for these girls who are so hot because guys can’t handle it. You can’t have a conversation. Everything’s gonna skew sexual and you’re gonna be treated differently. And honestly, I actually feel really bad for them.”

I really feel bad for homely girls that just can't accept what they are and be comfortable in it, after all there is always someone that will find you appealing, how else to explain Streisand and Cher? And what about the pretty girls and women that dress with the intention of garnering that reaction she mocks from men? Kind of hard to betaken serious when you wear less than a hooker on the prowl.
 Now don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating that women not be dressed anyway they want, just that they shouldn't bitch when they get the reaction they were dressing for........talking about stares not physical attacks or verbal harrasment.

She has a point in a skewed weird sort of way. It is true that beautiful women have a kind of disability. It is a good one to have in many ways, but they are never treated as 'normal people'. Which I think is what Amy's point was.

Beautiful women are always beautiful women and it is hard for them to be anything other than that. Just as a Black person always has to wonder if their success is based on race or merit, beautiful women have that same issue. They are both minorities and are treated as such by normal society. In that sense, Amy is right. As for 'feeling sorry' for them, well that is just sour grapes.
