If O'Rourke defeats Cruz ...
« on: October 08, 2018, 11:21:37 pm »
Here is my prediction:
If Robert "Beto" O'Rourke defeats Ted Cruz in this year's Senate race,
O'Rourke WILL be the Democrats' nominee for President of the United States!
And would have a very strong chance of actually becoming President!

This fits the Democrats' pattern.
In 1990, who outside of Arkansas had ever heard of Bill Clinton?
In June of 2004, who outside of Chicago had ever heard of "Barack Obama"?
(His legal name is STILL Barry Soetoro!  He STILL has never changed it back!)

The Democrats have all of Hollywood's expertise at MANUFACTURING CELEBRITIES !
O'Rourke is a perfect fit in the Democrats' mold!

He appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on September 12, 2018.
The appearance can be seen online at:
https://archive.org/details/KPIX_20180913_063500_The_Late_Show_With_Stephen_Colbert

O'Rourke has A LOT of charisma!
He is EXTREMELY APPEALING to the sort of voters
who know nothing of any issues, but are easily seduced.

O'Rourke appeared on the Colbert show,
boasting of how he's accepted no money from outside Texas,
WHILE HE WAS IN NEW YORK CITY TO SPEAK AT A FUNDRAISER!

Yes!  O'Rourke is THAT BRAZEN of a liar!
Which is the one quality that always rockets politicians
the most quickly to the top of the Democratic Party!

Also during the episode,
Colbert showed the mug shot
from when O'Rourke was arrested for drunk driving.

Colbert ridiculed the Cruz campaign
for being stupid enough to tweet out the photo,
because the Cruz campaign was publicizing how handsome O'Rourke is!

While on the show, O'Rourke spouted all the usual Democrat platitudes
of all the freebies he's going to give away to all the people.
In other words, this "fresh, new candidate"
is just like thousands of other candidates the Dems put up every election.
He's just another fresh, new packaging of
the same, old false promises of something for nothing
the Dems have been spewing for a couple of lifetimes.

Six years ago, while Obama won re-election,
Ted Cruz won Texas by 16 points.
This year, the race looks really close.

The Democrat Party planners know very well how high the stakes are in this race.
They're the ones who are planning it all!
Our side needs to realize how much is at stake,
and expose the fact that the Dems are pulling their same, old stunts,
hiding the same old poison pills in yet another shiny, new object!
If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion,
mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.

So...the only way to ensure that a Cruz win is to help with his campaign; either by getting the word out, making phone calls, going door to door, passing out literature, donating money, etc.

Worrying instead of doing doesn't help.

Just my opinion.

We've got our Ted Cruz sign in our yard.

Anyone tries to mess with it will have a come to Jesus meeting with our 90 lb Shepherd/Rott mix. She reacts to anything that sets foot on our yard: rabbits, opossums, liberals, etc.

This Kavanaugh scandal and the help of Trump on numerous occasions, should carry Cruz across the finish line. I do think that how close this has been is showing a bit of a shift in politics in Texas. How about 10 years from now?

O'Rourke has a list of scandals, the DUI, lying about attempting the leave the scene of the accident, criminal trespass, questionable record as an El Paso councilman, insider trading scandal as a freshman US Congressman, and now foreign money over the limit given to his Senate campaign. Then there are the policies, universal healthcare, open borders, infringing on the Second Amendment....

You're right, he'd make a dream democrat candidate. But he's not going to win against Cruz.
Principles matter. Words matter.

That's a nice fantasy...but Robert Francis isn't going to defeat Ted.

Pence has also been in Dallas to fundraise for Cruz and another politician. So, I think with all of this help, Cruz might win.

I know that was rhetorical but I'll go there anyway.

Sorry, Tom, I know you mean well but there wasn't a snowball's chance in the hot place that the little chicken loser would beat Ted Cruz.

Cruz cruises to victory.  What nonsense!  No contest really.  Cruz wins by what will be a comfortable margin.

I strongly recommend that Gov. Abbott begin construction of a wall around Texas in order to keep Californians out.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
