Blasey Ford facing perjury trap?

Today may be a day to savor. Senator Chuck Grassley and sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell took heavy criticism in some quarters over the solicitous tone and leisurely pace of the cross examination of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford before the Senate Judiciary Committee, but it looks like a perjury trap was being sprung. Ryan Saavedra of The Daily Wire explains:

It seems pretty clear to me that Rachel Mitchell knew about this letter and was getting Blasey Ford to go on the record under oath. My suspicion is that Ford was prepared for many days for her testimony, but her lawyers and handlers did not anticipate this line of questioning, so she winged it.

Combine this with reports that the FBI will complete its re-investigation and may submit its report today, and with reports that Blasey Ford has not been questioned, and the odds rise that the FBI has examined the possible perjury here.

All the ducks in a row. But, IMO, the primary goal should be to expose the lies and discredit her testimony. With that, a good number of fence-sitters should realize just what the Democrats have done in this affair.

The FBI probe is a background investigation, not a criminal probe.   Kav has already undergone six of them.  The new "fact" being chased down is the allegations of teenage behavior.   Regarding the key charge made by Blasey,   it appears that the FBI is effectively running a background check on her,  for purposes of assisting the Senators to assess the credibility of the charge.

That's why Ford has not been re-interviewed.   The FBI's task is merely to take what she has already said and offer evidence the may go, one way or another, to her credibility and motivations.    Her apparent fear/discomfort at taking a polygraph juxtaposed with information that she coached others on how they work.   Her provision of her therapist's notes to the Washington Post but not to the FBI.   And so on.

President Trump is supposed to receive the report today.  I hope he immediately releases it to the public.  The plan was to just release it to the Judiciary Committee, but the Rats are already hatching a plan to selectively leak the contents to their allies in the press.
