Seinfeld, Mandell, and so many other comedians have all said the same thing. America has lost its sense of humor.
What passes for so called 'comedy' these days is pure, rancid, mean-spirited, HATE. Hate for Trump. Hate for Republicans. Hate for anything Christian. Hate for American traditions. All of this is currently considered to be mainstream 'comedy' for some reason.
The reality is, it is really just vicious vulgar political commentary. But for some reason, if the Left calls it 'comedy' then they are able to get away with saying the most vile, obscene, politically incorrect things they want to say, as long as the remarks are directed at anyone other than the Left or their protected groups. If you say anything disparaging of a prominent Leftists, or a Democrat, then you are expelled from the bubble of protection and good luck getting another gig anywhere.
The Left has weaponized sexual assault, the NFL, what they call 'news', education, everything... And now they have weaponized comedy. Comedians are no longer even expected to be 'funny'. Instead they are only expected to pay homage and to worship every leftwing agenda item on the list to show loyalty. They are expected only to trash President Trump, his supporters, and anybody on his staff in the most vile and vulgar means possible. That is what Hollywood calls 'funny'. Actual 'wit' or 'humor' are no longer important to being called a comedian.
The days of Johnny Carson, Seinfeld, or Bill Murray, are all gone now. If your 'comedy' isn't political commentary, then you are out.
