Pelosi: I’m here as long as Trump is here

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) told CNN in an interview set to air Monday that she plans to remain in her role as long as President Trump is on office.

Pelosi told CNN's Christiane Amanpour that she “would have been happy to go my way” if Hillary Clinton had won the 2016 presidential election and the Affordable Care Act was protected.

“We didn’t know who would come forward, but that’s up to caucus. They give me the honor of serving and it’s up to them to choose who comes next," she said. "But to have no woman at the table and to have the Affordable Care Act at risk, I said, ‘As long as he’s here, I’m here.’ ”

Pelosi added that she is confident she will be the next Speaker, even as some Democrats have said they wouldn't support her bid if the party regains control of the House.

I think most Dems don't want her in any position of leadership, but the Dem Party has a big problem. There is nobody on the bench. So many well known Democrats are felons, violent racist bigots, antisemites, wife beaters, anti-American Socialists, or just plain loony-toon wackos, they simply don't have anybody viable to replace her.
