He may be guilty of Trump sycophancy, but he’s not a bigot.

I don’t know Representative Ron DeSantis, the GOP nominee for Florida governor. I met him once. He seemed nice enough. I know he’s got an impressive résumé. He went to Yale for his B.A. and Harvard for his law degree. He enlisted in the Navy and was deployed overseas as an adviser to the SEALs, among other laudable things. I’m told he’s thoughtful and a decent family man.

I’m inclined to believe all of that.

I’m also inclined to believe he won his primary race this week by beclowning himself. His victory was achieved by signaling in every way possible that no one loves President Trump more than he does. “Signal” is too subtle a word. DeSantis’s media strategy boiled down to taking every invitation to appear on Fox News (where I am a contributor) and slather the president with praise.

His sycophancy sailed past icky to self-parody when DeSantis released an ad exploiting his family to prove his devotion.

Am I the only non-black American that has almost gotten to the point where when we see and hear some black America calling a someone white a "racist",that almost means he is an American who loves the Constitution?

What was it that backfired on Chicken Little?

This story has faded, like I said in the other thread, it seems there is another example of DeSantis using this expression months ago according to the Glenn Beck show. So, if that situation prior occurred and was innocent in how it was used, this seems to finalize this story somewhat.

"Dumb" monkey business like this illustrates how and why the Republicans lose elections.

The democrat-communists throw down a tainted "racis' gauntlet", and fools like Goldberg (and to be honest, most of the rest of the Republican party) pick it up.

There should be no response to the democrat-communist crap machine on this at all.
Or perhaps, the only response should be, that one is free to exercise one's First Amendment rights.

Now watch for a slew of "he's not a racis'" pieces from other Republican "defenders".
