   I aint going nowhere @Emjay.
My neice just moved to Vietnam (landed yesterday) as an English Teacher, she asked me if I would come see her, I refrained from explaining to her my role in Linebacker I and II on that balmy Christmas season in 72.
We can all live in peace here even if @musiclady is anointed Queen and @LegalAmerican is head of the FCC, were counting on Bull Dog Mattis to not bomb the White House.

I wouldn't go anywhere else either @corbe ... Not even Mexico even though I went there several times in the past.  I just don't trust any country but the U.S

As for your niece, she must be following some kind of weird calling and I hope  she stays safe and doesn't lose all her illusions.

Born and raised in Texas, as soon as she was legal, she got the 'F' out of Texas and moved to NYC, of all places.
YES, she was a Liberal before she left, can't blame that on them.

   Now Vietnam, WTF?
Is there something in the water, up there?

@musiclady   Horse hooey?  getting a little vulgar there are you, sweetie.

Just a heads up ... many people who support Trump here are not Obama fan-like fans and to group all of us together is an insult.

AND another little hint, you have no choice but to tolerate Trump or join @corbe in that other country he's seeking refuge in.

There you go again........... assuming and then whining about what you assumed, but what was not said.

I didn't say you were an Obama fan-like fan, did I?

Why do you always assume every post is about you?

And why ever did you think I dissed @corbe ?  I LIKE corbe.  happy77

As for being Queen.......... I'd abdicate on Day 1 if anyone anointed me anything like that.................... though I DO have the royal hand-wave down pretty good.

Just announce you love Trump and you are free to be the most inconsiderate, ill mannered, un-neighborly dolt on the internet and your fellow Trumpers will rally around you and give you comfort and succor when all of those mean, non-Trump supporting bullies point out your lunacy.

Swell...

Sounds like what happens when you sell your soul to Liberalism.

I see my list of Trump accomplishments was called spam by the owner and removed.  First amendment and all, right ?  lol

I am learning the flavor of the board.  888mouth

We gave some of the refugee wave a lot of slack.   Why not a seasoned citizen who's excited for President Trump?

Her posting history will/should determine her future here.

In the meantime, think about your immediate affection for people like @CatherineofAragon  or @RoosGirl  when they 'washed ashore.

That's the way some of us feel about @LegalAmerican

 :patriot:    333cleo    :patriot:

Wait a minute!!.......... @CatherineofAragon and @RoosGirl  are both highly intelligent, articulate, funny women with spunk that a lot of insecure males can't handle.  There is NO comparison between their witty and civil posts when they first came (and to this day) and the inarticulate, insulting, lying spamming garbage of this strange troll.

Not even close to the same thing, @DCPatriot .  A thinking, discerning conservative shouldn't be latching on to the kind of junk she's been posting.

It's nonsense.

I neither assumed or whined.  You referred to people who support Trump as being worshippers.  I was speaking for ALL of the sensible non-worshipping Trump supporters here.

I neither whine nor assume every post is about me.  I like @corbe and he knows it but we kid each other a lot.

Except that I didn't refer to ALL people who support Trump as worshipers.  You just assumed that, and assumed I was talking about you.

Neither is true, thus your accusation is false.

So in the future, please just read the words on the screen without letting your feelings get in the way of what's actually there.

There are MANY rational people on this forum who support some or most of what Trump is doing.  I was not referring to them.  I was referring to those who actually DO worship him.  There aren't that many of those folks here, thank heavens.......... but there are SOME who are indiscriminate in their devotion and those are the only people I am talking about. (And there are LOTS out there on other forums).

So rest assured that, IF that doesn't describe you, then you are not being referred to in any of my posts.

IOW, chill out.  It's not always about you.

All I can say is that it was a great relief when a group of thinking social/fiscal/everything else Conservatives showed up on this board.

Sometimes it was lonely around here trying to stand up for principled morality as part of the Republican party.

That was when I started to realize that the Republican party was starting to pull away from me.  When I saw how many people (not just here, but "out there") were so willing to throw away everything they claimed to believe in to jump on the Trump train and change the very essence of what being a conservative Republican used to be about, I began to understand that the party that I thought was mine wasn't really mine at all.

@XenaLee comes to mind.

We can discuss principles we both agree and we both respect one another's choice in both supporting and criticizing Trump - because neither of us has denigrated the other for their position and view, even if we have argued about it.

The Hateful Eight could learn a thing or two about how not to drive people away based on how she handles herself when it comes to defending Trump against certain criticisms.

Good example.

There are others too, including the owner of the forum, who have supported Trump on issues without demanding that anyone bow in subservience to him.

But the idea that he is beyond criticism, or that even if you support what he's done on something (as most of us do), you need to be chastised as not loyal enough, is what (besides being kind of scary) turns people away.

I remember back in 2012 hearing a young liberal female family member yelling "Don't say anything bad about Obama!!"

That is the exact same childish devotion that we see in a handful of members here, and I find it disturbing (because they are not teeny boppers with crushes on a rock star..... they are adults).

More broadly, the deal vindicates Trump’s approach to trade, which has been lambasted by voices ranging from Wall Street to the national security establishment to the Chamber of Commerce, as well as mavens from both political parties.

They said nothing could come from Trump’s unilateral imposition of tariffs in order to get foreign governments to negotiate seriously.  They said a “trade war” would be self-defeating.

@Emjay

They say all that because none of them have jobs. They are investors, and their money works for them. If they can make billions will killing the American economy, they will knowingly kill the American economy in order to make billions from stock profits, and then use it to buy up property in the US at bankruptcy sales.

Win/win for them, but lose/lose  for wage and salary workers.

Well, congrats to LegalAmerican.  Ive never blocked a single person but she’s going to be the first, as soon as I can find out how to do it.  Can’t take the thread-to-thread spamming and abuse of commas anymore.

@CatherineofAragon

Abuse of commas????? What did the poor little things do to her to deserve such brutality?

I say we string her up!

Have you tried just sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "neener, neener!"

Obviously TBR is an opinion Forum but "best POTUS ever....."???
Best ever recalls the likes of Jefferson, Madison, Lincoln, TR.....
and not someone who has been in the Oval Office some 20 months.
Apparently, for the Trump fan cub, any desire/hope equates to an achievement.
Perhaps we should wait a little longer till these wishes become reality.
