Cost of living rises at fastest rate in decade
By Justin Wise - 08/10/18 04:47 PM EDT

The cost of living in the U.S. is rising at its fastest rate in 10 years, according to new data from the Labor Department.

The data, released Friday, revealed that consumer prices increased 2.9 percent in July from the year before, meaning Americans may be earning less than they did at this time last year.

The consumer price index, meanwhile, rose 0.2 percent last month, which analysts largely attributed to rising housing costs, CNBC reported. Annual inflation remained unchanged from June's pace at 2.9 percent.

Energy, medical care and apparel costs dropped in July, while food prices ticked up.

Not fake news but distorted news that The Hill is famous for.

Gas @ $2.49/gal in Texas seems to be the new 'normal', now. Living alone (anyone surprised?) I do my own shopping and grocery prices increase every month, just like they did 8 years under obummer.  I'm retired and comfortable but I know a lot of working stiffs with loving families and it's a struggle.

Grocery prices rise - and amount in the package is less.  We buy a lot of fresh fruit and the prices are going out of sight.  We eat blueberries every morning and the price keeps going up regardless of the time of the year.  A household with kids can't afford apples.

How can you possibly print nearly $3T without causing inflation?
You can't.

The FED let them ride for eight years of Obama but is now all of a sudden raising interest rates.

"Trump Stealing apples from Children"

Well, last week he was stealing children from their parents so this is a step up.

Using the same damn algorithms obummer used for 8 years the CPI is as non reflective of reality in America as is using Labor's unemployment numbers, both of which he called out during his Campaign.   /JS
