This has all been discussed ad nauseam before. But it can’t be repeated too often: Mass immigration has been an economic bonanza for major owners and executives and an economic disaster for the other 80% of the population.

Come on. What about the person with a rental property? He could suffer irreparable financial damage, not only with a loss of rental income...the entire neighborhood will be vacated for long stretches.
I have ENTIRE zip codes within a thirty minute drive that have been completely turned over into...where you swear you're in Mexico, or somewhere south of the border. Traffic signs are in Espanol and English. Restaurant signs all in Spanish.
The over all concept for Maryland at least, WAS that government subsidy only be a 1-generational thingy.
