Tuition-Free College Bill Coming Down the Pipeline From House Democrats

Rob Shimshock   July 26, 2018

Editor’s note: A group of House Democrats unveiled the bill July 24.

House Democrats will introduce a bill to make college tuition-free by minimizing debt and simplifying financial aid procedures.

The Aim Higher Act, which is expected to hit the House between July 24 and July 27, would grant states federal funding provided that they reciprocate by granting two years of tuition-free community college to students, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

The sad thing is millennials are becoming accepting of socialism.  They don't have a clue as to how destructive liberalism has been on our society.  They don't have a clue how the liberal school system and msm have swayed their thinking.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Didn't the Dems try this before and failed?  So long as the Republicans are the supposed majority, this bill won't go anywhere.

Now if the Republicans go down in flames in November, you know a free college bill will definitely pass.  The question is, will Trump sign it?

College is over-priced and over-rated for most people.  Unless one has a particular career in mind that requires specialized knowledge, probably better off going to a trade school or getting a job and moving up because of good work and ability.

Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain.

No, I don't see Trump signing any such thing, and yes this Rat plan has been around forever.

My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

And they are certain that job will be there when they graduate, I'll add.

Having put 2 children through college I will attest that college is over-rated.  Neither one of them are working in the field that they earned their degrees in, but it at least got one in the door where they are now working and the other child went in a completely different direction.

As I was growing up, getting a job and working hard gave you a chance without a degree, whereas nowadays a lot of companies won't even consider someone without a college degree of some sort.

Trump's recent e.o. is geared toward on the job training!  Winning!!

As for trade school, I would agree that, that is probably a better avenue for many.

The main advantage of a college degree is that it gets you in the door at companies.  They use that as a cheap way to screen applicants.  My daughter got her Masters in Human Resources ... she had some college loans to pay off, but she does have an excellent job now as HR Director for Kamehameha Schools in Maui.

If I had children, I would not send them to college now.  A degree might look good on a resume, but these days it seems most kids are indoctrinated in college.  They really don't learn any skills that would help in their chosen profession.

At least in a trade or technical school, students learn a skill. So far, there isn't so much emphasis on political brainwashing in a trade or technical school.
