Liberals and Never-Trumpers Really Want Us to Care

Did Donald Trump have an affair 12 years ago? Did he have more than one affair 12 years ago? And did he pay off women to keep their mouths shut about those affairs? I don’t know, but more than that, I don’t care.

There are a lot of interested parties who want me to care, they want you to care, too. I just can’t bring myself to.

When I voted for Donald Trump I wasn’t voting for Pope, I was voting for president. I had no delusions that he was someone I wanted one of my sisters to marry, I knew that he was a much better choice than Hillary Clinton for the issues I cared about. In all honesty, I expected him to be a bad president, just not as bad as Hillary would have been.

It turns out Trump is a much better president than I could have imagined and likely better than the professional politicians he ran against for the GOP nomination would have been. He didn’t owe the existing power structures in Washington anything and isn’t in the business of horse-trading for votes and favors, all too common in DC.

Yeah, but here's the thing.  Some of y'all are big fans of Melania Trump.  These affairs were undertaken after their marriage.  You say Melania is a wonderful woman, etc., but when it comes to this?  She gets thrown under the bus.  Who cares.

I feel sorry as hell for her.  Yes, she knew the kind of man she was marrying.  But she didn't sign up to be First Lady, and she certainly didn't sign up to have her humiliation play out on the world stage.

Being Trump-like is the new normal.
You win.
I will now proceed the tell my kids and grand kids that is now okay to do these things, sleep with whoever you want to.
I will be sure to tell them, make sure when you use Twitter, call people "fat-crooked-lazy-sweaty-lying-crazy-unhinged,etc.."

I mean, we should never expect our President to be a role model, right?
That's WAY to much to ask, what's wrong with us?

Why, I guess I need a fainting couch or something.....

C'mon on folks, I ain't asking the man to be perfect, just decent.

A lot of this Mueller investigation is just a self-serving fishing expedition; in the opinion of many, just to find dirt. In that light, I don't really care, the investigation is already an abuse of power.

When I need life saving heart or cancer surgery, I’m going to the best surgeon in town and I don’t ask about nor care about his sex life or even if he was spotted kicking puppies – just show me the money, that’s what I care about. Can you do the job better than the other guy.

I am thrilled with the results that the Trump administration have achieved thus far.
I have heard some say only a person like Trump could get these things done.
Fair enough, but I would argue that tax cuts, trade negotiations, supreme court nominations, deregulation, etc., could still all be done with a little more class.

So, I won't change my stance on this.
Results, great.
Demeanor, not so much.

It's the only complaint I have about the President, and I am entitled to it, and I am not going to change my mind about it, unless it changes.

I have seen one place the President does show class and decorum, and the is with fallen soldiers and their Gold Star families.
For that, Mr. President, you have my eternal gratitude.

None of us have details.  But if you remember, when some of this news started coming out, Melania put a hold on accompanying her husband to various places.  Maybe it was a coincidence.  Or maybe--shocker--she wasn't happy. 

Anyway, whatever their agreement might be, like I said, she wasn't counting on having this mess paraded internationally while having to show her face and pretend everything's fine.

Now do you want to show me where my observation jumps to the conclusion that she should move out?  Yeah, didn't think so.

I don't really care if he had an affair 12 years ago or not.  That's really between he and Melania IMO.  What I do care about though is whether or not he (or his spokespeople) lied to the American people about it or about any payments associated with it.  I also care about whether or not any such payments violated campaign finance laws.

However, when Clinton did this, we were up in arms that somehow, this reflected on the character of the country.
He put us all in a bad light, we said, an embarrassment.
Kids coming home from elementary and junior high asking what oral sex was.

Fine, no worries.
Doesn't any reporter have the nerve to just simply state, "yeah, it was a mistake. He should have thought it through. It was a while ago, but since he had presidential aspirations, he may have wanted to put that in the equation".

No, one side wants everyone to ignore it, and the other side doesn't want anyone to forget it.

I guess it is just Politics, as usual.
I guess I'm going to be disappointing, waiting for an adult to enter the media.

I find it odd that you would comment on other people's backgrounds, yet take offense to someone questioning the President's, who has lived his life as an open book, subject to scrutiny.

Frankly, I'm surprised the Left and MSM aren't making Melania the headlines regarding Playmate playmates.

Of course, it has to be an embarrassment for Melania.  As First Lady, she's been virtually ignored by 'Women's Media'.

Thankfully, she's not the type to seek headlines, and has represented America flawlessly.

It's just that as a candidate, this was all discussed.  They both knew what was coming....audio tapes aside.

He's still my President and I love the hell out of him.   :laugh:
