Just because it' Survey Monkey doesn't mean the results don't have an element of truth.  The actual number may not be accurate but the sentiment that it represents could be.

Ask yourself if you would invest your entire life savings with D.J.Trump?  Not as POTUS, but as a real estate investor and entrepreneur.

It doesn't mean I don't like what he is doing as president.  He has certainly followed through with his campaign promises.  That is honest and trustworthy.  But I don't personally trust him.  I fear he would take my money, line his own pockets, and lawyer up, daring me to try to get my money back.

Just my $0.02

I didn't trust the used car salesman either.

Reagan and Bush (both) are probable the only truly trustworthy presidents in my lifetime.

Old, broke down, obsolete, doesn’t matter anymore.  Time to pack that one away.

You don't get it, @CatherineofAragon ......

Because Hillary would have been worse (she would have), then we are supposed to get rid of every standard of character and behavior we ever had and embrace Trump as Messiah.

Get it now??

Character still matters.  It always matters.

I'll go with you on Reagan. He was one of us.

Even his biggest fans should say he isn't honest because he brags about being a liar and using that as a negotiating strategy in The Art of the Deal.

If they say he is honest, then they are calling him a liar.

I've only seen a few at least make the leap to say something Al ng the lines of "yes he is a liar, but he is our liar, doing what he needs to do for the deal'.

If I recall, that was exactly what the vast majority was saying about his statements regarding North Korea.  Very few (none?) defending them all as being true.  They were defended on the grounds that they were buttering up/B.S. intended to change the tone of the relationship.

He is a serial liar and that won't/can't change; it is who he is.  When you study his life, you find this behavior.  Again, it is who he is.

Soooo, you've studied his life.  Maybe another hobby might work better for you?

Anyone surprised?   Real estate developers are even less trustworthy than lawyers.  Again I am surprised its is as high as 13.

OTOH, incredibly he is still more trustworthy than Hillary.  Just shows how screwed we were for the 2016 POTUS election.

Thanks, @catfish1957   Some of us don't dare to bring Hillary in the equation because it's forbidden.

People who accuse Trump of lying are mostly talking about his tendency to bloviate at times.  And sometimes he says something overly optimistic.  As far as actual, meaningful lies, I would put him in the middle of the political pack but no worse.

Apparently this site has more than its fair share of that 13%...

The 13% thing is a joke.  Trump was elected and not by people who thought he was a liar.  This was posted to get a rise out of people by someone who is apparently bored today.

  • WE are NOT ok!
It's a poll.  I don't trust the honesty or trustworthiness of the poll.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Ad nauseam,  I'm sure.

So? He’s a politician. For anybody who knows who Kimberly Hahn is, I no longer trust her either. She ran for council at large and won. I no longer consider her a credible source for anything. That’s just me

I'm not trying to ruin your reputation by proxy, or damn you with effusive praise, but I couldn't agree more.  I really love Reagan, Bush, and Dubya and I think the world is better for their leadership. :seeya:

Maybe, but that Hillary horse is still riding around town trying to work up followers for 2020.

I think it's always worthwhile to put in a little reminder about what we escaped while we're having so much fun trashing Trump.

Nobody you argue with disagrees that Hillary was a bad candidate.  You want credit for picking the best shitty choice.  Sleep awhile you must be tired.  Maybe your morality will be stronger in the morning.
