After careful analysis, attendance at a March 2016 Trump rally, I decided to become a Trump supporter.  I remain so now. He seemed to be the only candidate that could fight to win the nomination, and to then defeat Clinton. I was fed up by half-measure efforts by Dole, McCain, Romney. (My earlier favorites were Governors Walker and Perry) I had learned my 3rd party lesson with Perot in 1992.

So far I am satisfied with my choice.

I didn't expect it to be pretty or perfect.

Kudos @truth_seeker   You were ahead of the curve.  Ahead of my curve, anyway.  I didn't become a convert till the morning after the election.

My feeling of relief was so palpable it was like a conversion.

Trump has not let me down and the inchoate rage and nastiness from the left and some so-called conservatives only strengthens my resolve to support Trump until I can't.

So far, Trump is a better person than his critics.

I think the Trump supporters are members of a cult. There is no reasoning with them as their minds are closed, so I don't try.

The country has survived in spite of who occupies the WH and it will survive the present occupant.

But it cannot survive the millions upon millions of fools who make such ego-driven morons their prince and political savior.

I don't claim to be ahead of any curve. On election night I was as surprised as Hillary Clinton !!

Any conservative paying serious attention since the election, would agree he is doing more than could reasonably be expected to accomplish a conservative agenda.

@dfwgator   That's the thing.  Nobody on either side can think of anybody.  All the democrats can do is pray that a savior arises from the loathsome muck in their party.  That's why they're spending so much  on the futile attempt to elect Beto O'Rourke.  He's an attractive looking guy which would bring their total of attractive looking people in the party to one.

I was for Ted Cruz in the primaries, but those Trump haters don't like him either.  And they cannot tell you who in that huge list of primary candidates they do like or would support.  Pretty dang sad.

I am not going to defend a man against scurrilous lies when he is guilty of those same scurrilous lies himself - It is a pointless and indefensible exercise.

I have an open challenge to anyone to find just 10 minutes in any speech wherein he doesn't lie - That challenge has gone unmet since the election, to this very day. Because it can't be done. The only way one can believe otherwise is a deliberate suspension of disbelief, which I will never do.

I can bend a knee to a sovereign or leader - But that will only happen according to merit, and merit alone. I will not endorse your leader or your team without it, and believe me, that merit is woefully lacking, all the way around. You can be a good lemming, and do as lemmings do if you so desire.
