Marine sniper and Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer laid down a challenge on Thursday for actor Peter Fonda following the latterâ€™s now-deleted Twitter rant attacking those he had deemed responsible for the separation of parents and children who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.

@DonaldJTrumpJr I have a great idea. Why donâ€™t we put @iamfonda in a cage with me so he can see what threatening an 11 yr old should get him?

In a series of tweets, Fonda had lashed out at ICE agents, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, but it was a tweet calling for the kidnapping and caging of Barron Trump that raised eyebrows and eventually got the Secret Service involved.

I suppose we could also wait 50 year to put Meyer in a cage with a 29 year old and see what happens to a guy that beat up a stupid, loud mouthed old man.

I couldn't care less how old Fonda is. That's his problem.

Barron Trump is 11 years old. I doubt he formulates WH policy.

You REALLY think it's automatic that a 29 year old man can beat up a 50 year old man? Seriously?

It ain't the age or the size of the man in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the man,and a general rule of thumb you can bet money on is the MoH winners have a considerable amount of fight in them.

I thought it was Peter's attempt to get his name out there, in advance of the release of the 50 year anniversary DVD of Easy Rider.

And I think Dakota had a few too many brewskies when he challenged Peter to the cage match.
