GENEVA—A large, drop-shaped natural pearl pendant sold for a hammer price of $32 million at an auction of jewelry that once belonged to French Queen Marie Antoinette, which Sotheby’s is calling a record price for a pearl at auction.

The “Queen Marie Antoinette’s Pearl,” a diamond-and-pearl pendant, was among the highlight offerings on the block at the Sotheby’s sale of jewelry from the Bourbon-Parma dynasty.

Like many of the 10 former Marie Antoinette pieces up for sale on Nov. 14, the pendant obliterated the pre-auction—in its case, $1 million to $2 million.

Yep. In the event of a divorce, Meghan has no legal claim to anything of the royal family, and everything legally belongs to the royal family. Even gifts and, crazily, children.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, posed in a way at the style-centered event that some interpreted as hammy and others as maternal, as she presented an award to her wedding dress designer, Givenchy artistic director Clare Waight Keller.

"Cupping the bump? WHOB DOES THIS? #MeghanMarkle who the hell does she think she is Madonna and child? Something VERY creepy going on in this woman's head," one user wrote.

I was thinking the same thing.  My niece just reached 20 weeks so she is about four weeks behind Megan.  My niece is nowhere near that big, and the baby is "the size of a banana" now.

Lots of mothers-to-be are excited to show off their blooming baby bumps, and the Duchess of Sussex is no exception. 

Video shows how Meghan, 37, who is six month pregnant, uses a a combination of clever wardrobe choices and 'deliberate baby-bump-featuring behavior' to ensure all eyes remain on her blossoming tummy at royal engagements.

Stylist Lucas Armitage noted the royal has largely eschewed maternity brands in favour of pieces from designer labels that fit snugly around her bump and plumps for contrasting coat and dress combinations that highlight her blossoming tummy.

'She is enjoying being pregnant and knows that that is what people want to see when she is at public engagements,' Lucas explained.

Meanwhile body language expert and author Judi James pointed out Meghan frequently 'flicks' her coat away from her bump to ensure it is fully visible - just one example of the behaviour she consciously adopts to draw attention to herself.

Dreux (France) (AFP) - Prince Albert of Monaco and Spain's former queen on Saturday led a host of royals and aristocrats at the funeral of Prince Henri of Orleans, a pretender to the French throne which was done away with in the 19th century.

The duke of Paris died aged 85 on January 21 -- by coincidence, the anniversary of the execution of King Louis XVI during the French Revolution in 1793.

"This is a page in the history of France that is being turned," Stephane Bern, an expert on European monarchies, told AFP at the funeral at the Chapel of Saint Louis in northern Dreux, the traditional burial place of members of the House of Orleans.
