I really want to start a separate thread on just the coronation.

That way it will be easier to find in future reference

She's also been married to Charles for 18 years, a diligent working royal all those years, comported herself better than some other royals and according to polls she's pretty popular with the people.

The name Charles is maybe the most dubious of the entire monarchy of England/UK in the past 1200 years.
You'd think Chucky would would know his own's nation's history better.

I don't know that Charles II was the most dubious. If you look back at England's history there have been some real humdingers as kings.

That being said...if Camilla is a jealous woman she might be concerned.

Understandable and I'm not disagreeing. But, I also remember there were no innocents in that tangled mess.

I'm simply pointing out that Camilla's worked long and hard, indeed earned, a chance at redemption; as has Charles.

Not a fan of Camilla or Charles.  Both adulterers.  I don't have a lot of interest in them.

Sadly there are rumors of Prince William and Rose Hanbury having an affair.  Only they know the truth.  Perhaps Princess Catherine does too.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are Reportedly 'Leading Separate Lives' As She's Caught Pulling Away From Him On Kiss Cam—Yikes!
April 30, 2023 by Marissa Matozzo

It looks like there may be trouble in paradise for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex…

Rumors are swirling that Meghan Markle, 41, and Prince Harry, 38, are allegedly leading “separate lives” and spending less time together, with a royal insider reportedly confirming this to GB News.

On top of that, fans think Markle seemingly pulled away from her husband when they were caught on the ‘Kiss Cam’ at a Lakers game last week. We’ll break down the Sussexes’ reported issues as King Charles‘ May 6th coronation approaches (Harry is supposed to attend!)

Royal commentator Celia Walden sat down with GB News last week, and dished that the Archetypes podcaster and Spare author are "pursuing different agendas." Warden added that the married couple are "breaking apart and leading separate lives." ...

Meghan Markle ready for Hollywood comeback? Duchess of Sussex ‘has a knack for getting what she wants’: expert
The Duchess of Sussex, who resides in California, recently signed for representation with WME
By Stephanie Nolasco , Ashley Papa | Fox News

Is Meghan Markle gearing up for a Hollywood comeback? Some experts seem to think so.

On April 27, the Duchess of Sussex became a crown jewel for WME and signed up for representation with the legendary agency, Variety reported. According to the outlet, numerous agency rivals attempted to land the former American actress since she and her husband Prince Harry moved to California in 2020.

According to reports, Markle will make millions from the deal, which has been in the works for months. Page Six reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been spotted more frequently in Hollywood.

Christopher Andersen, author of "The King," told Fox News Digital he suspects the mother of two will poise herself to be a power player in Tinseltown as her empire beyond palace doors strikes back.

"If Meghan doesn’t end up hosting a daytime syndicated talk show, I'll be surprised," said Andersen. "She certainly seems well-suited to that role in particular, and I can easily see her pursuing a career path similar to Oprah's in the media: a show, a magazine, producing, directing — the works. She still has a sizeable chunk of the viewing public in her corner."

"Once all the controversy surrounding the Sussexes' ongoing feud with the rest of the royal family dies down, assuming it ever does, I could easily see her launching a successful talk show," he shared. "Meghan has always had her fingers in a lot of pies, and she has a knack for getting what she wants. Millions of girls dream of becoming a princess, but she made it happen — and against all odds to boot! Becoming the next Oprah — a powerful and influential media mogul — does not feel far-fetched at all."

@bigheadfred

Other than Springer having had an IQ that was probably double that of Okra,is there an actual difference?

Oprah is D...U....M "dumb". Anyone that has ever heard her  talking without an ear bud in her ear, where she is making her own decisions about what to say can testify to that. The woman actually  tried to film a road trip with  her and her female main squeeze Gail to show they were just "reglar folks,a-drivin ah car cross de cuntry",and when she stopped for gas, couldn't figure out how to do it. Couldn't even find the filler flap.

Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister predicts separation from Harry: ‘They are at an impasse’

By Jesse O’Neill
May 4, 2023

Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister thinks the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are on the outs — and alleges her reluctant royal relative is trying to upstage King Charles III’s Saturday coronation.

Samantha Markle, 58, based her breakup claim on Meghan’s apparent rebuke of a kiss-camera smooch from Harry when the pair showed up at a Los Angeles Lakers game last month — spilling the gossip during an interview with GBNews released Tuesday.

“It’s so different and so inconsistent with her character,” Samantha told the outlet. “Previously in all the photographs she was pining over him, putting her hands all over him, grabbing his hands, grabbing his back.

“So what’s up with this? Is this a symbol of separation? This is different. This is seemingly a statement on her part that she’s not all that touchy feely right now.

“It’s kind of sad. It’s telling the rest of the world, all of us, that they are at an impasse and maybe they’re making decisions to part,” said Samantha, who has not had a relationship with Markle, 41, since 2014, according to The Irish Mirror. The two share the same father, Thomas Markle.

Queen Elizabeth publicly called Harry meeting ‘evil’ Meghan a ‘complete catastrophe’: report

By Lee Brown
May 5, 2023

Queen Elizabeth II publicly signaled that she regretted that her grandson Prince Harry met his wife Meghan Markle — calling her “evil” and their courtship a “complete catastrophe,” according to an explosive report.

The longest-serving monarch “saw through Meghan Markle” and made the uncharacteristic remarks at a reception in Balmoral in August, weeks before her death, a source close to the royals told The Spectator.

“At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe and described her as evil,” the source claimed.

“Everybody’s eyebrows hit the ceiling,” the source recalled.

“It was out of character for the queen to use such a word as ‘evil’ to describe Meghan, but she saw straight through her.

This woman dealt in her career from Churchill to this wench.  I think over those 75 years she built up a good repitorie of reading people pretty well, and recognized the Farkle Factor pretty quicky.

Meghan and Harry have in effect declared war on the royals, starting with the nasty Oprah interview in 2021

By Nile Gardiner | Fox News

After months of uncertainty, Prince Harry eventually decided to attend the coronation of his father, King Charles III, in Westminster Abbey on May 6. Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, will not be there, however. The Duchess of Sussex has decided to stay in Montecito, California, while the Duke travels to London.

Harry’s visit across the Atlantic is expected to be brief and takes place amid increasing acrimony with his brother, Prince William, and his wife, the Princess of Wales. Reports in London suggest that many members of the royal family will be keeping their distance from the increasingly toxic Harry, following his salvo of attacks against the royals in his highly controversial memoir, "Spare."

Both Harry and Meghan have become increasingly unpopular in the United Kingdom since the release of "Spare" and their hugely hyped Netflix documentary, which debuted last November. They have, in fact, become two of the most disliked celebrity figures in the U.K. today. Their standing has also taken a major hit stateside, where the satirical show "South Park" delivered a devastating takedown of the royal couple in a recent episode.

Undoubtedly a key reason for Meghan’s decision not to attend the coronation was fear of being booed on the streets of London, a scene that would be immensely damaging to her carefully cultivated brand.

Another factor was the humiliation of being relegated to second-tier status as "non-working royals," which denies them the right to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the coronation celebrations.

Quite honestly, the fact that Harry feels compelled to come to the coronation, and will apparently swear fealty to Charles as king, and the fact that Meghan is not coming with him, is, under the circumstances, quite a win for the royal family.

Monarchy’s future ‘really well set’ as British royals have ‘100 year plan’ for survival: Royal expert

Royal expert Nick Bullen discussed the future of the monarchy during Saturday's coronation, predicting that the Royal Family will persist, especially given the show of support at Saturday's coronation.

"I think the future of the monarchy is really well set," Bullen said. "I've made programs with the royal family and we've talked to them about how they operate a 100-year plan. They're not even thinking about when William takes over or even when George takes over. It's when George's grandchildren take over, so they're always thinking 100 years ahead."

"I think people in Britain really want the royal family still," he added. "The other options just aren't really things that we'd consider."

He cited a survey that looked at what Americas thought of the royal family, where 34 million Americans said they were avid royal fans, while another 35 million said they were truly fascinated by the royal family. ........

REVIEW: 'The Windsors at War: The King, His Brother, and a Family Divided'
Dominic Green
May 7, 2023
Quote
Two houses, each alike in indignity. For there can be no dignity when the world knows your business because your exiled brother and his American wife are complaining about you to the media. The Meghan and Harry saga is what Sigmund Freud and Elizabeth II would have recognized as "the return of the repressed." For decades, the late queen feared a return of "Uncle David," known to the world as Edward VIII, and his wife, the erstwhile Wallis Simpson of Baltimore. Elizabeth II lived long enough to see her nightmare come true, with Prince Harry bringing some second-son energy to the role of entitled manchild and Meghan Markle adding a touch of the Norma Desmond as she clings to the biggest role of her life (though she did not attend this weekend’s coronation).

History repeats as farce with a Netflix contract. Edward and Wallis were tabloid material at the time. The difference was that while the British media obliged Buckingham Palace by suppressing the story of the king’s romance with a divorcée, the American media had fun. This pattern endured after 1945. While the royals did their best to pretend that Edward and Wallis did not exist, Edward and Wallis sold England by the pound in the United States. Prince Harry may be too slow to see it, but in escaping The Firm, he has merely sidestepped into another family business.  ...

Was Edward a posh twit with good intentions, or was he a traitor by choice? Did he serve his country by trying to avert another world war, or did he betray it in its hour of peril? The evidence that Edward was a posh twit is massive and incontrovertible. The evidence about his motives will always be partial. It is also ambiguous, because securing peace between Britain and Germany would almost inevitably have returned him and Wallis to Britain and the throne. ...

George, a decent chap who struggled with a stutter and smoked himself to death, became a hero for sticking it out under the bombs. Edward was parked for the duration in the Bahamas, where he continued to hang out with Nazi sympathizers, griped about living in a "third-class British colony," and engaged in dodgy schemes for self-enrichment. He felt "acute pain" at his demotion and became an acute pain in the neck.

Once, both brothers were just posh twits with good intentions. Today, George is the patriot king and Edward the Nazi-loving traitor. This polarized image is pretty accurate. Wallis loved the Nazis more, but Edward, like many posh English twits at the time, valued Adolf Hitler as a potential ally in protecting the British Empire from the Bolsheviks and the Jews. He was making pro-Hitler statements in public as early as 1935. When Edward was pushed off the throne in 1936, a secret British civil service memo reported that Hitler was "very distressed at the turn that affairs had taken in this country, since he had looked upon the late King as a man after his own heart, and one who understood the Führerprinzip." ...

'I was exasperated': Prince Harry's ghostwriter J.R Moehringer tells of tensions between them while working on Spare and reveals their relationship became so fraught that he shouted at the royal in row at 2am

By Richard Eden Diary Editor For The Daily Mail

Published: 11:59 EDT, 8 May 2023 | Updated: 16:07 EDT, 8 May 2023

Tensions between the Duke of Sussex and the rest of his family are so bad that Mike Tindall once publicly joked that the royals would like to throw a few punches at him.

Now, Prince Harry's ghostwriter, J. R. Moehringer, has revealed that their relationship became so fraught while they were working on the book Spare that he started shouting at the King's younger son at one point.

'I was exasperated with Prince Harry,' Moehringer admits, 'My head was pounding, my jaw was clenched, and I was starting to raise my voice.

'And yet some part of me was still able to step outside the situation and think, ''This is so weird. I'm shouting at Prince Harry''.

'Then, as Harry started going back at me, as his cheeks flushed and his eyes narrowed, a more pressing thought occurred: ''Whoa, it could all end right here''.'

Prince Andrew 'is refusing to budge' from Royal Lodge as he demands a summit with King Charles — and a bit of dignity from his brother

Prince Andrew is refusing to move out of his £30m home Royal Lodge in Windsor
King Charles feels Duke should leave the home and move into Frogmore Cottage
It is understood Royal Lodge is earmarked for Prince William and his family

Prince Andrew will not move out of his £30 million home, Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate, putting him on collision course with King Charles.

The Duke of York is digging his heels in and refusing to vacate the 30-room mansion, his home for more than 20 years.

Charles has let it be known that Andrew should leave the house, where he lives with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and downsize to Prince Harry’s former home, Frogmore Cottage.

It is widely understood that Royal Lodge, once occupied by the Queen Mother, has been earmarked for Prince William and his family.

As first revealed in The Mail on Sunday, the King is cutting the annual £250,000 subsidy that the late Queen gave to Andrew – meaning he can no longer afford the upkeep for the mansion.

This is quite a predicament for King Charles and how selfish of Andrew.  I think Charles has been more than generous towards his brother in spite of his scandals.

I don't know British law, but there has to be a way to oust him.  Between Harry and Andrew, Charles has a handful.
