Prince Harry and Meghan Markle must be the ones to say sorry to William and Kate who would have 'brutally rebutted' any request to meet at Windsor this week because they 'no longer trust them’, royal experts told MailOnline today.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue their engagements in Britain this afternoon by attending the WellChild Awards in London before heading back the US, perhaps as early as tonight.

But despite staying at Frogmore Cottage - a stone's throw from the Cambridges at their new Adeleide Cottage home - the Cambridges and Sussexes have not met amid claims Harry never told Prince William they were coming to the UK, with the Duke of Cambridge reportedly finding out from the media.

And Omid Scobie, the couple's biographer and considered their mouthpiece in the UK, claims Meghan and Harry will not reach out until the Cambridges take 'accountability for crossing a line'.

But royal experts say that the reality is that William 'no longer trusts his brother' and the Cambridges 'have good reason to dislike him and Meghan' after their regular transatlantic 'truth bombs' – so would have refused to attend any summit.

Journalist and author Phil Dampier, who has penned a book about the Sussexes romance, said: 'It’s terribly sad that it’s come to this but it’s really up to Harry and Meghan to put down their weapons and think about a peace deal.

'William certainly no longer trusts his brother. If in his book Harry criticises Kate for making Meghan cry in the run up to her wedding, or if he accuses Camilla of ruining his parents’ marriage, I fear there will be no way back for him and William and Charles will cut him off permanently.

'The trouble is they've signed up for big money deals and can’t pull out yet without losing a fortune'.

Palace signaling Queen Elizabeth II is in ‘grave condition,’ biographer says

Buckingham Palace’s announcement that Queen Elizabeth II is under “medical supervision” is “grave news,” according to a royal biographer.

“We knew that this was extremely serious when the palace released a statement that doctors were ‘concerned,'” Robert Hardman, author of “Queen of Our Times,” tells Page Six exclusively.

Hardman explains that the famously stoic monarch, 96, “dislikes any discussions about her health,” so the news signals how serious her condition must be.

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning British monarch whose rule spanned seven decades, died on Thursday at the age of 96, Buckingham Palace has announced.

Elizabeth ascended to the throne in 1952, on the death of her father, King George VI. She oversaw the last throes of the British empire, weathered global upheaval and domestic scandal, and dramatically modernized the monarchy.

She died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland after doctors said they had become concerned about her health on Thursday.

Elizabeth ruled over the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms, and became one of the most recognizable women ever to have lived. Her son, Charles, immediately became King upon her death.

Prince Harry, who was in Britain as part of a tour with wife Meghan Markle, also flew to Balmoral. Meghan did not travel with him. She could potentially join Harry in Scotland at a later date, a source told the Daily Mail.

Dramatic photographs showed Prince William driving Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie into Balmoral. Meanwhile, people gathered in the pouring rain outside the gates of Buckingham Palace hundreds of miles away in London, awaiting a further official announcement—some had brought flowers.

Earlier in the day, a palace spokesperson said: “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

NBC News reported that National Security Council spokesman John Kirby had told reporters that President Joe Biden will be “updated throughout the day” on the queen’s condition, adding the president’s thoughts were “solidly and squarely with Queen Elizabeth and her family.”

The queen had been suffering with mobility problems, and looked frail as she appointed Liz Truss as Britains new prime minister on Tuesday. She was forced to pull out of a Privy Council meeting the next day.

With over 70 years on the throne, Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-reigning monarch in British history. During her reign, the queen was served by 15 prime ministers—the first being Winston Churchill, in 1952—and 14 U.S. presidents.

Her 73-year-old son, Prince Charles, now becomes King Charles.
