Adopt a puppy or kitty from your local shelter
Or an older dog or cat. They're true love❤️

You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

@Sighlass That song I posted above in #1207 by Valkyrien Allstars gave me a gypsy music vibe too.  I came across that song watching a movie last night with my song and thought it sounded interesting so I looked them up.

My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Davitt Country band from Ireland covering Marty Robbins' "White Sport Coat And A Pink Carnation":

Sorry...

In case some don't know it, early in Marty's career, he being from Arizona, this is kind of a bop song.

Sorry...

Definitely should be consider for a list of best country songs, written by Canadians Ian and Sylvia and recorded by many including Judy Collins...she and Stephen Stills were riding around and somehow the subject came up to record this.

A hint of bluegrass, "Maple On The Hill" sung by the Carter family...

Sorry...

Quote
Maple On The Hill

In a quiet country village stood a maple on the hill
Where I sat with my Geneva long ago
As the stars were shining brightly we could hear the whippoorwill
As we sat beneath the maple on the hill

We would sing love songs together when the birds had gone to rest
We would listen to the murmur o’er the hill
Will you love me, little darling as you did those starry nights
As we sat beneath the maple on the hill

Don’t forget me, little darling when they lay me down to die
Just one little wish, my darling, that I pray
As you linger there in sadness thinking darling of the past
Let your teardrops kiss the flowers on my grave

I will soon be with the angels on that bright and peaceful shore
Even now I hear them coming o’er the hill
So goodbye, my little darling It is time for us to part
I must leave you ‘neath the maple on the hill

A nice accompanying song, "Wabash Cannonball", real Americana, really goes back, folk or country... sung by the Dutch band, the "Tumbleweeds"...this is the way to do it...

Poco, "Heart of the Night":

Sorry...

Jean Shepherd had the original release, Porter Waggoner had a successful release, I believe even Robert Plant and many others sang this... but "Satisfied Mind" is an all time great and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils of all people have a splendid version here.  It's kind of gospel again, again, some rather nuanced areas in country music.

Just came back from running errands in the car. Heard a real weird remake on the radio- a remake of Don Henley’s “Boys of summer”

It had the line “I saw. Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac”

For the first time in my life I really feel frickin old. One, I don’t know who Black Flag is, and two it doesn’t have the same meaning for me. I guess I really am 50. (I saw the Dead play in the Meadowlands back in the late 80s).

They're an 80s hardcore punk band. Henry Rollins was in it. They're very popular in the punk scene, but not so much outside of it.

Sorry...

Led Zeppelin for change? Dedicated to someone? If it was me... you know how the song goes...

Sorry...

Speaking of these kinds of songs, some Marshall Tucker and so on, we may have heard it a million times but those are certainly nice vibes.

Sorry...

That's one of those albums, spun the wax, loved that song immediately and others on that same album.
