NEW YORK (AP) —

For 108 years, the Boy Scouts of America's flagship program has been known simply as the Boy Scouts. With girls soon entering the ranks, the group says that iconic name will change.

The organization on Wednesday announced a new name for its Boy Scouts program: Scouts BSA. The change will take effect next February.

Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh said many possibilities were considered during lengthy and "incredibly fun" deliberations before the new name was chosen.

Its really sad whats happening to this great organization.   Boys need space of their own, to learn, be boys and grow up into strong men.   

Maybe thats the ultimate motive for pushing this.  To further weaken this country by weakening the future men.

I think you are right.
When I was in Boy Scouts, this wasn't even in passing thoughts, let alone, a possibility.

What the left may not realize, but they will soon, is that by weakening men, that doesn't necessarily equate to making women stronger.
You can think of a million analogies, for example:

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is changing its name for the first time in its 108-year history.

The scouting organization, originally designed for boys ages 11-17, will be called “Scouts: BSA” starting in February,  The Associated Press reported.

The move to a gender-neutral name arrives on the heels of the organization’s decision to accept female members next year.  Girls already started enrolling as Cub Scouts this year and more than 3,000 have reportedly joined so far.

BSA Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh said the association considered many other “incredibly fun” names before settling on a decision, according to the AP.

The only Eagle Scout in my troop, was also high school Student Body President, Valedictorian, and then went to Yale if memory  serves.

Of course he did not serve in the military, became a teacher, union leader, Lost Angeles School Board member, and chairman by rotation among the first openly gay teachers.

Actually, many of us (Ex) Leaders did fight...we were ignored, dismissed as homophobes or just plain deceived.  National was sold off to the highest bidders because the BSA back in the 70s and 80s got themselves into a crapload of financial trouble through mismanagement.  Once National opened up their Board membership to Executives from corporate America, it was just a matter of time.  The "vote" for admitting homosexual youth was a set-up to get the expected results.  The delegates each Council sent and their subsequent votes did not match the consensus shown in numerous surveys leading up to the vote.  Surveys ran 65+ percent opposed to admitting homosexuals and yet the vote went 65+ percent to approve.  Go figure.  The leaders in our Troop and many others figured we could manage any homosexual youth via careful supervision and observation.  Any aberrant behavior would be grounds for dismissal from the Troop, just like any other kid if it was serious enough.  But once they permitted homosexual adults to join, I resigned.  It is sad to see it go, but society has chosen.  If you're looking for an alternate, try http://www.traillifeusa.com/
