That he said he is too busy to pick out a nice gift. Actually, I don't think he does a whole lot of work himself, but we can disagree on that. My point though is that however much or little work he really does, there is no excuse for not getting her far more than a card and flowers.

And given that Trump has been accused of boinking other women while married to her, I should think he would want to do a lot more for his wife than a card and flowers. True or untrue, as I said, she is being humiliated by these accusations. If he wants to keep her, a card and flowers are not enough.
But, that's exactly my point in thinking he doesn't want to do
too much....lest she think he's trying to make up for something or is feeling guilty...lol.
It's a fine line husbands have to tiptoe upon. I know from experience. That said, mine always sent me a dozen (at least) red roses
at the office. He knew it was the 'effect' (perception among the other ladies working there) more than just the sentiment. And judging by the ooohs and aahs from the co-workers every time a female worker receives flowers, he was right!
