Excerpts from former FBI Director James Comey’s long-awaited book, “A Higher Loyalty,” which releases next week, flowed like raging river rapids this week.

The excerpts brought light to many of the most anticipated parts of Comey’s book, which details intimate conversations with the Trump administration, and President Donald Trump himself, in the weeks preceding his termination last May. Indeed, Comey’s book is heavy with detail and exposes many of the country’s most controversial issues over the last year and a half.

I read that and the FBI persons contacted said they think it will hurt the department "in the long run".  Trump has stomped on the Justice System since before he was elected, lying about it, so that hurts the FBI more than any book could.  Trump wants NO justice system except him.  He detests the FBI, the Supreme Court, Judges, anyone who has to do with upholding the law, plus any news media that might report what he is doing.  He wishes to be Dictator for Life, holding "his" justice in his hands.

Comey has been the object of Trump's nasty tweets for many months, and there are more today, and Comey could not respond to those, so I'm glad he wrote the book to explain what really happened when he was there.

@Victoria33 I am sorry, but I had considered the FBI a corrupt agency for years before Trump even thought of running for Pres.  This is not a novel concept, and pinning it on Trump is not accurate, even if he is the most corrupted politician since ever.

I don't believe anything Trump says because he lies constantly and has all his life.  He detests Comey.  Comey has had to stay mostly quiet for many months.  If one reads Comey's bio on Wikipedia, he is an honorable man which Trump is not.  I will read Comey's book before I trash him like Trump has.  I try to find facts before making a final decision on anything, especially in politics.  We know Trump tried to get Comey to drop the Russia investigation and when Comey didn't, Trump set about to destroy him like he does anyone who has a different opinion than he does.

If you are interested in knowing what the book says, I will PM you when I have finished reading it.  Give Comey a chance to make his case.   :beer:

Yes...but.... Comey is a proven LIAR and corrupt as the day is long.  Be careful whose side you choose here.  You know that saying.... from the frying pan to the fire...lol.

And... I bet if you read Hillary's bio on Wiki, it says some nice things too.  Just sayin....  :whistle:

The book is coming out Tuesday, and the advance reviews are glowing, so I imagine you'll like it quite a lot.  It will likely confirm what you're been saying all along.  Personally, I have no idea because I've become very cynical about all who are involved, on all sides.   :shrug:

Comey is clearly corrupt and has politicized the FBI. That is a given with his treatment of Hillary and the Clintons in general. This was proven well before Trump became President.

Just because Trump is an unabashed liar doesn't mean that Comey and the FBI, DOJ and others in our government are not also totally corrupt.

@XenaLee, @Victoria33, while I also find it hard to believe that anyone finds any credibility in anything Comey has to say, I think there are a whole lot of people out there who do exactly that.   Keep it in mind as we go forward with this story that a lot of people* believe he might have something worthwhile to say.  It's important to understand that.

*I believe the only thing of importance he might have to say will be inadvertent admissions of Comey's own inadequacies and self-importance.  But, that's just me.

Comey has proven himself to be a corrupted, petty, partisan hack and liar (and I could go on and on).  While folks may not particularly like Trump, believing ANY thing Comey has to say would be a huge mistake in judgment, IMO.

It's entirely possible they all suck, it's not a mutually exclusive deal.  I wouldn't believe my own good press if it was in Wiki. 

Just because Trump may be bad doesn't make his accusers Saints.  Trump had nothing to do with Comey's shenanigans with Hillary Clinton's multiple "exonerations."  Trump didn't hound Mueller into falsely accusing the fellow for the Anthrax Terror mails, nor did Trump get Mueller to finger innocent men in Boston for Whitey Bulger's crimes, sending them to prison.  These gentlemen were crooked all on their own.

Circling the wagons around James Comey, who leaked classified info to the MSM, bungled numerous investigations, fraudulently claimed attorney client privilege with his law professor pal who acted as a conduit for him and has been caught in numerous lies like claiming to hide in the curtains of the WH to avoid Trump when there are pics to the contrary.........is absolutely BRILLIANT!!!!
