I’ve found that Trump lies/makes false statements/is inaccurate/whatever you want to call it all the time.  Unfortunately, as evidenced by this type of response, I don’t think Trump cares about being truthful or accurate because I don’t think most of his 35% hard-core supporters care about truth or accuracy either.  Of course, that 35% won’t get him reelected, but that 35% is who he seems to want to pander to.

If any politician lies I call them out on it.  This is true whether I like them or not. I called out Bush, Clinton, and Obama when they lied.  I do this because I care about the truth.  You obviously don't care about the truth (after all, you said:  "I don't care if the facts are right, wrong or made of paper mache...." and "I don't give a shit about Politicians lying....").  That's obviously your prerogative, but I think facts, accuracy, and truthfulness are essential to any intelligent dialogue on the issues.  JMO.

I'm not ignoring it at all.  I'm trying to make a distinction between supporters like Frank who don't care about the truth and who he wouldn't lose even if he shot someone on 5th Avenue with those who approve of his policies such as being tough on ISIS, implementing tax cuts, putting in conservative judges, etc.  despite the lies and his unPresidential behavior.  I've estimated that there are about 35% of the voting population in the former category (e.g., "hard-core supporters" as I clearly identified them) versus the later folks who I think are variously 5% to 15% of the voting population who represent the balance of his "approval" numbers.  It's really quite simple.

What percentage of the voting population do you believe supports Trump but doesn't care about the truth or doesn't care about him killing someone on 5th Avenue?  I've seen Trump's base estimated to be anywhere from around 20% to being as high as 35% of the voting population.  I choose to use the higher number.  If you've got a more accurate suggestion, I'll certainly entertain it.
