Mexico is allowing a horde of over one thousand illegal (mostly) Central American migrants–many of whom are infants and children–to march though the country on their way to the United States where they will either seek asylum or try to illegally cross the border. The invading migrants are organized into groups and sub-groups like an army.

Buzzfeed has embedded a reporter, Adolfo Flores, with the illegal migrant army which is being led by the group, Pueblos Sin Fronteras. The migrants receive guidance and training from Pueblos Sin Fronteras but are reportedly responsible for their own expenses, food and water.

Buzzfeed excerpt:

…For five days now hundreds of Central Americans — children, women, and men, most of them from Honduras — have boldly crossed immigration checkpoints, military bases, and police in a desperate, sometimes chaotic march toward the United States. Despite their being in Mexico without authorization, no one has made any effort to stop them.

Organized by a group of volunteers called Pueblos Sin Fronteras, or People Without Borders, the caravan is intended to help migrants safely reach the United States, bypassing not only authorities who would seek to deport them, but gangs and cartels who are known to assault vulnerable migrants.

Organizers like Rodrigo Abeja hope that the sheer size of the crowd will give immigration authorities and criminals pause before trying to stop them.

“If we all protect each other we’ll get through this together,” Abeja yelled through a loudspeaker on the morning they left Tapachula, on Mexico’s border with Guatemala, for the nearly monthlong trek.

When they get to the US, they hope American authorities will grant them asylum or, for some, be absent when they attempt to cross the border illegally. More likely is that it will set up an enormous challenge to the Trump administration’s immigration policies and its ability to deal with an organized group of migrants numbering in the hundreds.

The number of people who showed up to travel with the caravan caught organizers by surprise, and has overwhelmed the various towns they’ve stopped in to spend the night. Pueblos Sin Fronteras counted about 1,200 people on the first day…”

The article reports migrants are given training jumping on ‘The Beast’ train used by illegals traversing Mexico who risk life and limb riding on the roofs of the train’s cars.

President Trump declared on Sunday the deal for the Obama-era DACA program was “NO MORE” and called for "tough" immigration reform after a report stated a caravan carrying more than 1,000 people from Central America is traveling through Mexico and to the United States in hopes of entering the states illegally or by asking for asylum.

Trump, who has vowed to end catch and release, tweeted Sunday morning that Republicans need to take the "nuclear option" when passing tougher immigration laws.

The president had given Congress six months to pass legislation enshrining the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA), which protects about 800,000 young immigrants brought to country illegally as children from deportation.

“Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. 'Caravans' coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!” the president tweeted.

The caravan the president was likely referring to was first reported by BuzzFeed News on Friday. Organized by Pueblos Sin Fronteras, or People Without Borders, the caravan traveled through Mexico without authorization last week, according to the report. Officials in Mexico have not attempted to stop the migrants, about 80 percent of them from Honduras. The group’s intent is to provide those people a safe way to travel to the U.S.

We've seen it before. Just two or three years ago.
We saw how it ended up (where it happened before).

What's going to happen at OUR border?
What actually does happen there is going to determine what happens next.

Prediction:
If we let 2-3,000 in this time without a fight, NEXT TIME 10-20,000 are going to mobilize and "march north".
And after that, 100,000.
And after that.....?

If we don't stop this now, here, it could be over -- at least for traditional-minded Americans.

I would stop it, by any means necessary (and that includes shootin' if it comes down to it).
But I doubt the Trump administration (or ANY administration you could conceive of) will resort to that.

They need to start some kind of a "show of force and determination" IMMEDIATELY.
That means "troops to the border".
That means building a temporary barrier with concertina wire (or whatever they've got).

We need to see some action from DC.

They are currently still well down at Matías Romero, Mexico. If they continue up 185-85, the logical earliest point would be Laredo.  But you probably won't be able to tell for sure (unless they list their specific route more than a few days out) until they get to around the Monterey area. Then you can see if they continue on the shortest path (Loredo) or start to head West.

I would reckon either California or New Mexico, since both are blue states.

Time to get troops with rapid-deployment capabilities down there... NOW.
Time to start building a "temporary border barrier" NOW. Concertina wire would be particularly useful for this.
Time to start coordinating with the state National Guards of both Arizona and Texas ... NOW.

I don't think New Mexico will prove to be very cooperative with the Trump administration -- they're "majority-Hispanic" now. But they will buckle if enough pressure is applied from DC.

The "weak point" is (of course) California, which is approaching a state of open rebellion against the United States of America. Mr. Trump should make a public statement -- and mention California and the governor there in particular -- stating that THEY WILL COMPLY with the troops who will be sent there, and that the invading army WILL NOT be permitted to enter.

Even though California already has a "border wall" in some sectors, I would not be surprised to see officials of the state of California and municipalities on the border actively attempt to dismantle it, if the end result will be to let the oncoming mob in.

If necessary, border crossing points must be CLOSED completely -- no one goes across in either direction.

And Mr. Trump must read the riot act to the Mexican government:
No more foreign aid.
Perhaps even a permanently closed border.

I'd say this is a provable lie, but Trump probably isn't versed enough on issues and facts to actually know it's one.  From last month:

Immigrants can be held by U.S. immigration officials indefinitely without receiving bond hearings, even if they have permanent legal status or are seeking asylum, the Supreme Court ruled Tuesday.
