Trump considering firing VA chief: report
By Avery Anapol and Brett Samuels - 03/13/18 05:34 PM EDT

President Trump is considering replacing Veterans Affairs chief David Shulkin with Energy Secretary Rick Perry, The New York Times reported Tuesday.

Two sources close to the White House told The New York Times that Trump is mulling firing Shulkin, who has been under scrutiny over ethics concerns, including his use of a personal security detail to run errands.

Trump has not formally offered Perry the job, and it’s unclear if he would accept it, The Times reported. Perry served in the Air Force prior to his career in politics.

Shulkin has been under intense scrutiny in recent weeks following an internal report that found he spent most of a taxpayer-funded trip to Europe sightseeing, had the government cover the cost of his wife’s airfare and improperly accepted Wimbledon tickets.

I don’t have confidence Perry could do much better. He can’t even salute properly.

I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Shulkin was stupider than Tillerson or even Omarosa, for that matter, he was #2 in that CF, our Veterans deserve better and I don't think Perry is the answer either.  It could very well be the final straw that breaks his political careers back as if Texas DNC Chair for Gore wasn't enough.

Then he could replace Perry with Tillerson.  Awesome.

I'd leave Perry in place and go with:

1) Allen West, because we know he cares about the troops and will go to any length to get them help.
2) Mitt Romney, because he's a proven administrator and it would keep him out of the Senate.
3) Weaselly Clark, because I've been drinking.
